Vietnamese nail techs

Just wondering how the Vietnamese nail techs are paid here in the U.S. I live in a small town in Georgia and I was wondering if they are paid by the hour, or a percentage of the cost of the work they do or what. Of course they get to keep a tip, right? There are two in my small town and they stay covered up with business.

Here in Florida it is common to "rent" a station from the salon owner.

I believe most are either renting from salon owner or are related in some way to owner. I can ask my Friend as her sister's husband did used to own a salon and she is friends with some of the techs.
