My wife and I are going down to DW next week. Just wondering if video cameras are ok in DW? If so, what happens to your video camera when you want to go on rides? Thanks so much for any replies.

Yes, video cameras are allowed at Disney, but they tell you that you cannot video tape certain things like inside shows. I think its okay if you dont have an external light that shines while you tape. I remeber sitting in the voyage of the little mermaid, and the guy infront of me was taping, and he had that window that opens on the side. That thing was glowing so bright during the whole show, that it really was distracting. So, if you are going to tape shows, try to look through the view finder and not the side window :)

Good advice. What about rides though, like Mission Space. I am only assuming they don't allow you to hold on to the video camera. Thanks again.

If you won't be able to safely hold a bag, pack, etc., including a video camera, you typically will have some sort of compartment to hold your items. I have brought a video camera to the parks often without any problems. Unless you have a really compact camera, my recommendation is that you plan on when you want to do your video taping, and to leave the camera in your room (or car trunk) the other times.
