Does anyone have any experience with Victoria and Albert's? I'm thinking of trying to book the Chef's Table for a birthday dinner. How many people can be accomodated? Is it still $95 per person and $50 per person for the wine pairing?

I've never been but I think you are correct at the price of $95 and $50 for wine pairing.

Make sure you call at 180 days as I hear this Chef's Table goes quickly. I think it can seat up to 6...can't find the post though. I did find somebody quote that it was a very large table in the kitchen.

you will need to plan for more than 95$/pp as that is the price for the main dining room. when we have dined at the chef's table,w/o wine pairings, it has always been closer to 300$/inclusive for 2. it is a fabulous experience!!! good luck in booking! :earboy2:

We did Chef's Table and the price per person has gone up to about $125 without the wine pairings.

We'll be doing it again in April...... I just have to remember that I can't eat it all. We got ****y trapped last time- after they brought us the dessert sampler, we thought the meal was over.

WRONG!!!!!

They brought each one of us a REGULAR SIZED DESSERT!! I thought that I was going to DIE........

But it was SOOOOOO good!

Right now I'm thinking it's going to be about 6 people at most. I had originally invited a group down and some others may still decide to come. If so, I will go to plan "B" which is:

  • Sunset - look at the animals at AKL
  • Bevies in Victoria Falls
  • Dinner at Jikko's
  • Cake
  • More drinks
  • If it's open by that hour Space Mountain

I always had a fixed amount in my head, whether it was a 50th birthday party here in Chicago, or WDW. I decided to move the celebration to WDW. If it's fewer people then I'll just spend more per person. I thought that V&A might be a truely memorable experience.

I'm only going to turn 50 once right? That is unless I live to 150!

I do have another question, do they require a deposit when you book V&A?

The chef's table rocks! My DH and I went with 3 friends and we all had a great time. I have to warn you ... the wine is all you can drink too and we got a little ... well ... wild :bitelip:. But since we were in back we didn't bother the other regular guests. We would have been more circumspect if we had been in the dining room.

I think that if you have the $$ you can still do V&A with a bigger group. They have smaller dining rooms off to the side that will accommodate you.

Well, I managed to get a reservation for V&A's Chef's Table for my birthday. It was easier than I thought it would be, but then again, with the price it probably doesn't get snatched up too fast.

A lot depends on your birthday. Some friends of mine are coming from Arizona May 30 through June 6 and told me they wanted to do CT. It was December 10 when I called, and only two dates were available out of the week.
