LOL SAMEGET OUT OF MY WAY I NEED AN EXPENSIVE CHEF’S TASTING LIKE YESTERDAY *frantically sets like 18 alarms for June 20th*
^not satire. I am DYING to go!!!
I think the main difference is that there are 10 courses in QVR and only 7 in the main area. Oh, and in QVR, two of those are desserts. YUM!
On a less gluttonous note, I feel the service in QVR is a bit more personal because there are only four tables in a setting reminiscent of a Victorian Era dining room with fireplace.
That's not to disparage the service in the main room, which is excellent. Rather, it's my feeling that servers have more time in QVR, because handling fewer tables, to act somewhat like hosts in a private home. We've had wonderful conversations with them about past dishes we enjoyed, sources for the various ingredients, etc., learning much fascinating information about the food we're enjoying.
Unless you feel your budget requires V&A's to be once-in-a-lifetime, what we did might appeal. We started with the main room, QVR a few years later, and then Chef's Table. That's a sequence I heartily recommend. What was funny about it was that as we were leaving after CT, I remarked to the receptionist that we'd done all three, now what? She swiftly replied with a smile, "Why start over again, of course."
Unfortunately, yes.I know the announcement says ressies open June 20th but I assume we still have to wait until 60 days from our resort ressie in order to book?
