Victoria & Albert's at Grand Floridian reopening July 28

Now I need start working the wife into the mood for this again. Took me three months in 2018.

What time on the 20th do you think? July 28th is the last night of our trip. We wanted to eat there in March for our 20th anniversary, but this will work too. Getting the 28th will be nearly impossible

I found the new prices on the Disney website - bit of a jump to what I was expecting to pay but sure it will be worth it

I cannot imagine this.

If DH mentioned booking V&A's, it'd take me less than 3 seconds to scream, "YES! WHEN!?"

Sooooo glad to learn they're reopening but mega-sorry we're not returning till next year.

Sadly, the new prices are a bit beyond our budget, if we get the full experience with wine pairings. I wonder whether they’d let us share one order of the wine pairings? They did that very readily last time we went - actually offered it to us when I said it was too much wine for me!

PS the cancellation policy is definitely something to be well aware of when booking!

I was a little sad I had already bought tickets for the Swan and Dolphin Classic as our Disney Date night and then I saw the prices and was ok, because no way I would be able to talk my husband into Victoria and Albert’s (with CDN conversion).

V&A Veterans - is there a big difference in offerings between the Queen Victoria room and the main dining room? Trying to figure out if the price difference is justifiable.

I think the main difference is that there are 10 courses in QVR and only 7 in the main area. Oh, and in QVR, two of those are desserts. YUM!

On a less gluttonous note ;), I feel the service in QVR is a bit more personal because there are only four tables in a setting reminiscent of a Victorian Era dining room with fireplace.

That's not to disparage the service in the main room, which is excellent. Rather, it's my feeling that servers have more time in QVR, because handling fewer tables, to act somewhat like hosts in a private home. We've had wonderful conversations with them about past dishes we enjoyed, sources for the various ingredients, etc., learning much fascinating information about the food we're enjoying.

Unless you feel your budget requires V&A's to be once-in-a-lifetime, what we did might appeal. We started with the main room, QVR a few years later, and then Chef's Table. That's a sequence I heartily recommend. What was funny about it was that as we were leaving after CT, I remarked to the receptionist that we'd done all three, now what? She swiftly replied with a smile, "Why start over again, of course."

I know the announcement says ressies open June 20th but I assume we still have to wait until 60 days from our resort ressie in order to book?

Smart! We prioritize fine dining in our discretionary budget so definitely OK with the higher price - but I’m sure actually GETTING the reservation will be a different story XD
