I’ve just put my family on the Victoria & Albert’s wait list for several dates for our upcoming trip. Can anyone tell me about their experiences using this system? It’s my understanding that anywhere from 10 days to 2 weeks prior to the date you’ve requested that V&A reservations may call to offer a reservation on the date requested?

Thank you!

No personal experience but just saw a vlog where he got a table after being on wait list. It was not the chef table - it was in the dining room. They got the 10 course meal and it looked divine.

No experience with the wait list but we go an ADR for the main dining room a week before our trip in August. It was one of those last minute whim things. There were only 2 of us so don't know if that makes a difference.

Last thanksgiving, we were at the poly for 6 nights. Zero luck getting a reservation on line and then I just gave up.

Fast forward to our trip, we were having a drink at the citrico’s lounge and the restaurant manager chats us up and offers a tour of V&A. Short version of the story is he offered us a reservation for any night of our trip and a loaner jacket when I told him my husband left his at home because we couldn’t get a ADR.

Moral of the story, it might be worth showing up in person to inquire about availability during your trip. We were beyond frustrated by Dinsey’s ADR system and were very surprised this particular manager was so accommodating. We would have taken him up on the offer but we had BOG the next night and a pirate fireworks party the next night.

Ive heard they keep a certain amount for the concierge level rooms, might get lucky if they dont book up.

I called at 180 days and got chefs table for a week mid-may, but I called exactly at 9am on my 180 day and booked 7 days into the trip

who did you call at 9am. Was it V&A directly or the 1-800 ADR number? I will be trying to get this booked for when we are there and I know it is lucky to get.
Thanks

Regular tables should be reserved at 6 am est at the 180 day mark for your trip.

For chefs table you must call the restaurant directly at 9am est the same 180 day mark. 1 407-939-3862. If you are staying on property you can book from the start of your trip, so potentially 190 days out.

They are open 7 days a week now, some old reviews had them only open 5. Chefs table is up to 10 people.

I got queens room adr at 6am and had them cancel it at 9am when I got the chefs table.

I watched the same blog! I didn't know the wait list existed before that lol.

Thanks! My understanding is that all tables in the main dining room can accommodate between 2 and 4 guests, its just a matter of how they are set.

Oh very good to know! We've dined at V&A several times, but it has been about 5-6 year since our last visit.

I've heard this same rumour. Fingers crossed that it is true! I'd love to luck into a reservation.
