Via Napoli to go?

Quick question I hope someone can help me with... One of our Epcot afternoons is planned as an explore and eat around World Showcase. I wondered if Via Napoli would box up a pizza to go? I do have a reservation, but we don't want to eat a complete meal. If we are only wanting to get a pizza without all the fuss, will they box it up to go? I would hate to take up a table and waste their time, but I hear the pizza window isn't the same! I did made our reservation at an odd time (3pm) but I'd guess there is no "slow" time? Thanks for any help!

Well rats... I may just drop the reservation then. The plan was to send everyone to get a meal or appetizer from different countries and then meet in the middle and share everything. I don't think we'd want to spend the time for a second TS meal that day. (We have a late breakfast at Garden Grill). I'll think on it for a while longer before I cancel... but I definitely appreciate you guys!

Drop the Ressie. You can still go to the different countries QS restaurants and get to go and then all meet and share. But TS no, sorry.

Be aware that while VN has a takeout window, it does not serve the same pizza as inside the restaurant.

That's what I've heard...that the window pizza is not the same! Thought I'd found a work-around! Guess not...:(

Another one of those cultural differences in DL.

In DL’s DTD, Naples Ristorante (same company runs Via Napoli) has boxes for Pizza to go. Since it’s a short walk to Disneyland park, it’s not unusual to see guests in DL carrying boxes of Naples Pizza.

As others have said, the Disney TS restaurants are not equipped for take out orders because it would slow down the kitchen and would take too long to prepare meals for those at the tables. However, since you have a reservation at VN, go in, sit down and order the pizza. Bring your own large container because VN only has small boxes for leftovers and when the pizza arrives, box it up yourself.

I think most of the WDW restaurants will provide a box or doggie bag for diners who don't finish their meals, but you'd still have to go, sit-down, order, and wait for your pizza to come. At that point you might as well stay & eat it.

Normally on vacation we never take leftovers back to the room with us, but Via Napoli will definitely be the first for us. We have a super late reservation and plan to order a huge pizza. We probably will eat a good chunk of it, but our idea was to bring it home and have it for breakfast on subsequent days. They DO have boxes for leftovers... right? I know this probably seems like a ridiculous question, but I saw up above that someone said that they don't even have to-go boxes!

I said they do not have PIZZA to-go boxes.

That is correct, they do not have pizza boxes even for the leftovers. They will use a normal doggie bag or box. We took a couple of slices with us after our meal, it was not pretty, just all jumbled up.

The pizza is worth eating a couple pieces at the table and getting the doggie box to go.
