Via Napoli on DxDP (But not for pizza)

Via Napoli has been a favorite of ours for pizza, paying OOP. This trip we will have the DxDP for a portion of our stay (split stay) and I’m considering using some credits here to check out their non-pizza menu because (a) the rest of the menu looks pretty good and (b) it appears to be a pretty good use of DxDP credits (which I know is not the case if one were to order pizza). What have been people’s experiences with the non-pizza entree menu here (steaks, lamb, pastas) and did you find it to be a good use of DxDP?

Thanks for any feedback!

We have always gone with pizza when we've visited Via Napoli, but during our trip in September, we tried the Alfredo and it was the best thing I put ion my mouth the whole trip. And I am picky about Alfredo. I even warned my boyfriend not to get it - that it would be lousy and he'd be eating my pizza.

We fought over every forkful of pasta and left pizza on the plate when we left. Lol

I had the steak, and it was very good, though I could only eat half, as had the eat to beat package, so large salad, steak dinner, and wonderful dessert. I was full, and would gladly go back. Nice waiter, and lovely 2 seat place next to a window. Noisy restaurant, but I was not bothered by any of the other, larger tables near me.

I'd say go there, check out the menu, and try something other than pizza.

My family has been a few times and ordered off of teh Main menu. The veal was good, as was the chicken. The veal was not the best I have had, but it was good. Desserts are really good, and appetizers are as well.

DD had the spaghetti and meatballs, she said it was terrible.

The rest of us have only had the pizza.

For lunch, we normally share a sampler of hot appetizers (no longer on the menu as a platter but you can order much the same a la carte. Sniffles) of fried calamari, arancini, and vegetables with a green salad on the side. By the time we're finished our appetizers the pizza is generally ready and one small Margherita does the 3 to 4 of us fine.

For dinner, we have had the fish entree (nicely seasoned and not overcooked as fish so frequently is in some eateries), the meatballs and spaghetti which DGD loves and always orders for dinner there; apparently she hasn't figured out that cheese is incorporated in them, LOL. Quite tender and the sauce tastes homemade.
The lasagna is made with a credible ragu and is quite filling.
We wuvvv the "ugly" sundae" for dessert and the ice cream soda is nice too.

Is it a good use of the DxDP....this is so subjective. Some people care more about the cost of the meal, others its taste and quality, and then there are those who take both taste and cost into account. I say if you like what you have eaten then it's a worthwhile meal:).

My aunt and uncle went for pizza and as they were leaving they saw dishes of pasta coming out. They made another ADR for later in the week to try the pasta. They said it was delicious.

They aren't big TS people and really avoid them but VN is one of the places they really enjoy for both pizza and pasta.

Exactly! If you choose a restaurant based on price you are likely to be disappointed. Pick one based on what you like, not according to gaining the best value from a dining plan.
