I have read the horror stories about last Jersey Week crowds and was thinking of planning a trip for Vets Weekend next year. Can anyone give me an idea what to expect?

I've never toured during this time frame. I'll just bump this back to page one so that some of our veterans can offer advice.

We just got back from a weeks vaca. during Veteran's Day week. The crowds were reasonable. We were at MK on Thurs. (Veteran's Day) and it was a bit crowded, but this was only one of two days that they ran the Spectromagic parade. Yesterday we went on Buzz, Pirates, Splash Mtn., Runaway train and the Bears Jamboree in 2 hours! We practically walked on everything.

We just got back from 5 days at WDW 11/7-11/12 and the crowds were great. We never waited more than 15 minutes at MK (Standby line sign said 25 min for Splash but it only ended up being 15 and that was the most). We walked onto most rides all day!
We spent Veterans day at Epcot. The park is so large it didn't feel crowded at all. Of course we did Test Track first thing and did not risk losing breakfast on Mission Space but we virtually walked into things as they were starting (like Ellen's Universe of Energy, the movie in France and the living seas and figment).

I'd say veteran's day week is a good time to go.

I was told by the CMs at AKL that it was 100% booked but that might be due to Michael Eisner and top Disney brass being there for a few days for a mgmt conference.
