Very Unhappy With Ares Travel

Hello all,

I ordered tickets from ARES online in July. I was told I could pickup my tickets when I checked into the DLH. Well - we arrived on the 22nd - no tickets - they asked if we were going into the park that day - lucky enough we weren't. They told us to try guest services in the am. WELL..... we went to guest services and they had no record or tickets from ARES. Thankfully the woman at guest services took pity on me (maybe it was because we belong to DVC or something) but she took my voucher and said she would issue us our tickets. Thank Goodness for the wonderful people at Disney!

My biggest gripe is that I called ARES at 8am on July 23rd and I still have not heard from them.

Sorry you had a bad time with ARES... I'm wondering if there was some confusion about a voucher vs a ticket. We bought our Disneyland 2 day park hopper from Ares online a few days before we went to the park. We printed the "voucher" right from the ARES site as we were instructed to do immediately after giving our credit card informartion. We took that voucher to the ticket window at Disneyland and we were immediately issued "tickets" without incident at all.

I think the print a voucher and exchange it for a ticket once you reach the park is how it's supposed to work. At least that's how it worked for us 2 weeks ago as well as last summer when we used ARES for Legoland tickets. Both times were easy and saved us money.

I would not be happy with not getting a response from ARES one way or the other. Glad things worked out for you!

Yes we did receive vouchers - and we have done this before - but this time it was bad from the get go - no record, no call back and of course it immediately hit my credit card. Thank god the cast member took pity on us!

I don't understand why your vouchers weren't enough at the ticket window? That's all we've ever had, too.
