Very Merrytime Cruise/December 2016

First time on a Disney cruise here. Travelling with our kids and grandkids on the Disney Dream December 12-17.

I was just reading about the activities around the Very Merrytime Cruises and am assuming they mostly all be up and running by our cruise? I would appreciate and tips and must-do's around a holiday cruise.

Be sure you sign up on embarkation day to decorate a gingerbread house!

You'll be able to bring your house back to your cabin, but you cannot take it off the ship. Enjoy the wonderful aroma, and it tastes pretty good!

Go early to be at the entertainment in the atrium so the kids get a good view. We're adults, and so being upstairs gave us a good enough view.

I really enjoyed the "Winter Wonderland Ball", which was a little show with characters, Santa and some dancers. The audience was not dancing (so in my opinion calling it a "Ball" is a little misleading...). And I am sure that a December cruise will be a Very Merrytime Cruise. I think so far they have only announced the Halloween time saillings, but any cruise after Thanksgiving would be quite a safe bet in my opinion for the Very Merrytime.

First time cruiser here as well. If last Merrytime season was anything to go by, you are WELL into the timeframe of Merrytime.

Yes, that will be a very Merry Christmas cruise. Lucky you, if your a Star Wars fan, as a bonus you should have the PremEar of Rogue One onboard as it's release date is December 16

This past year, they let people on their ships see the New Star Wars movie on the ship before it came out. Good Luck !

In December we watched Star Wars the night before the official release date on the ship. They should show it at midnight on the ship on Dec 15th, the night before you get off, if you can stay up that late!

Is the 16th your debarkation day? The PremEAR at Sea is typically at midnight (the midnight that makes the date the release day). Yes, they have the PremEAR at midnight, and people debark the ship starting at 7:30 am.

That's wonderful news! Yes, we can stay up that late. For one night anyway.
