Very Merry D23 Holidaze Dec 2009 TR - 7 magical park days! updt 7/1

Your budget looks like it's shaping up pretty well! I need to sit down and put all mine out in writing, not just in my head. :rotfl: We'll be finished paying off our Disney package on October 16th. That's round-about when I planned on sitting down and drawing out our budget for things that we'll be paying for once when the date finally arrives... Rental car + deposit, ECV costs (I really wish I could walk the parks, wheels are so expensive!), meals not covered by the DDP, tips, shopping (including Pick a Pearl!), cocktails, etc etc etc. But after looking at your budget, I think I may be inspired to work on ours sooner. :goodvibes

Cool! :cool2:

I have a need....a need for spreadsheeting! I am quite literally lost without it.

You should see my daily plans spreadsheet...super scary!

I just have the non-fixed things left like some of you things above. I went a little crazy on the Special Events list, but technically, as of the next credit card bill payment I'm going to write out tonight, they are paid for. :goodvibes

In exchange, I vow (this means you MadilynnsMomma!) not to:

Pick A Pearl
Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party
Wishes Dessert Pary
or try to stay on-site
or sneak in more ADRs

This has to be on the Wish List for next time, along with Dine with An Imagineer and Tea at the Grand Floridian.

Funny you mention this. Just this morning, I decided to teach myself Excel and put our itinerary into spreadsheet format. :rotfl: I think it turned out pretty good for a first attempt, and DBF was crazy impressed by it. Sometime this week, I'm going to screencap it and show it off on my PTR. :cutie:

Ah, bummer, I missed the 60 day party soooooo........I will throw you a
59 days party.party:
with a live band:rockband::
back up dancers:dancer::dancer:

cake:cake:
and an open bar:drinking1

How exciting. It is getting so close. so is Christmas for that matter! :scared1:

October 4th is a pretty special day around here.

It was my sister's 39th Bday and she deserves a "shout out" :goodvibes for learning to care for our nephew CJ. As you may know from a previous post, not an easy situation to deal with. Someday, I will take him to see the Magic, but for right now, he's all good.

:cake: Happy Birthday to My Sis. :cake:

My sis also happened to be born on my parent's 1st Anniversary. This year would have been my parent's 40th anniversary.

:littleangel: Happy 40th to My Parents :littleangel:

I know! The next two months are going to FLY BYYYYY and it will be 2010! Holy Buckets! :scared1:

I got to get crackin' on my To-Do Lists....

I did pick up a bunch of paint mickey chips from Home Depot the other day and I'm going to have to check the threads to do something funky with them.

I also did complete my binder cover, but I only have it in Word for the moment and I don't know how to post that here. I may take a pic of it later and post that. :thumbsup2

I'm also going to order some D23 stuff that I was eyeing. :magnify:

I'm crazy about Excel! :joker:
It's a great program and it does everything I want it to. So good, in fact, I keep putting off learning Access well.

Let me know if you have any questions about the program. I'll try to help.

If I could figure out how to screencap, I would show it. :dance3:
Is that the Ctrl+Print Screen function? :scratchin

What did I do... :littleangel:

Happy b'day to your sister, she does definitely deserve a happy day!

:lmao::lmao::lmao:
I kid, I kid.

Thanks, I'll pass on the well-wishes to the sis. :goodvibes

It is, indeed! :thumbsup2 Just now teaching myself Excel, but I'm a whiz in Photoshop, but I don't have it on my laptop. So the screencap on my PTR of my spreadsheet, I had to use Paint to get it uploaded, which is why the quality sucks. But it's good enough to show off what I came up with that night, and I'm pretty happy with the results. :goodvibes

Update Uno:

The only good thing about doctor's visit is that it was done in 20 minutes :yay: - literally, from walking out of my car to walking back to it.

And losing 6 lbs from the last time I saw him in mid-August. :yay: I would be happy with another 10 lb weightloss before I left on my trip, but we'll see how it goes.

My gym ratness has taken a hit with the coming of the CJ.

Update Duo:

I bought Princess & the Frog tickets! There is a special screening in NYC (& LA), so I finally decided last night to go.

More info about it here: http://disney.go.com/disneypictures/princessfrogtickets/

Update Tre:

D23 events for December for DisneyWorld (plenty in the Land!) - this is the only clue...

In December, D23 will bring Magic & Merriment to Walt Disney World with out-of-this-world holiday magic.
(their bolding, not mine)

What do you think that means? popcorn:: :scratchin

Lastly, but not Least-ly:

I MUST get crack-a-lackin' on my To-Do Lists

-what to do with my Mickey paint chips?
-need travel alarm clock & luggage tags
-check on car rental rates
-check if eligible for AAA discounts on tours

That's all I can remember to be the most important to remember right now.

I hate going to the doctor, but it sure does make it more tolerable when you can get in and out quickly. Too bad it so rarely happens that way! :lmao:

I'm working on losing weight before my trip. I'm pretty darn pooh-sized. :cutie: I had lost 15 pounds in the last 6 weeks, but this week... in one week, my weight shot back up TEN POUNDS. I better be retaining water, because this defies all logic and reason.:sad1:

I like the sound of holiday Magic & Merriment! I want to know more about this! :scared1:

Travel Alarm Clock: I just use the alarm clock on my cell phone. One less thing to pack. :thumbsup2

I need to find my way to Home Depot for some paint chips! I hope I get a chance to, the closest one to me is 45 minutes away. :headache:

My doc is a straight to it kind of dude; but this was just a consultation, not really a medical visit per se, so that helps.

If your DBF thinks your great; then you are great. :cutie:

I can use my cell, but I do like to shut it down at night.

Magic & Merriment info coming up! :santa:

You answered your own question! Mickey Paint Chip Luggage Tags! :thumbsup2

DUH! *slaps forehead*

I wonder where I can laminate them..... hmmmmm.... :scratchin

Uh oh.....

D23's Magic & Merriment at Walt Disney World
Saturday, December 12 and Sunday, December 13, 2009

If decked halls, dancing reindeer, sumptuous winter feasts, dazzling decorations and yuletide carols warm your heart and spark your imagination, you'll want to join us at Walt Disney World® as D23 celebrates its first holiday season with our exclusive weekend of festivities, "Magic & Merriment."

The holly jolly happenings begin Saturday morning, December 12, at the D23 Member Lounge in Epcot, where guests will be greeted by the D23 Team and some very merry surprises and special guests that will certainly add some ho-ho-holiday sparkle to your day. The magic-makers at Walt Disney World Holiday Services will then give you a special behind-the-ears glimpse at how they transform Walt Disney World into a sparkling holiday haven — from gigantic candy-coated gingerbread houses and glistening snowfall on Main Street, U.S.A. to twinkling Christmas trees beaming with thousands of lights. You'll then be invited to spend the afternoon enjoying the holiday splendor of Epcot at your own pace before re-joining the group at the America Gardens Theatre as the sun begins to set.

As you nestle into your reserved seat, sit back, snuggle up and delight in the warm embrace of Walt Disney World's perennial Christmas favorite, Candlelight Processional. This time-honored tradition of classic carols and hymns sung by a choir of hundreds will be narrated by renowned singer and actress Vanessa Williams ("Colors of the Wind" from Pocahontas; Ugly Betty). Following this special performance, you will be transported to Disney's Hollywood Studios for a sumptuous holiday feast on one of the park's largest backlot sets – Lights! Motors! Action!™ After the park closes, enjoy "the last ride of the night" on one of the park's signature attractions, and then head over to New York Street for a private viewing of The Osborne Family Spectacle of Dancing Lights during a special presentation hosted by two of Walt Disney World's top creative minds.

On Sunday, you'll head to the Magic Kingdom for a day of Christmas fantasy and fun in this delightfully wintery wonderland. After a morning of enjoying the park's sparkling holiday majesty, everyone will gather inside Frontierland's iconic Diamond Horseshoe for a private holiday luncheon complete with special entertainment to keep the holiday spirit alive. After dessert, D23 members and their guests will get another "suite" treat… the once-in-a-lifetime opportunity for an exclusive tour of the magical Cinderella Castle Dream Suite, situated high above Fantasyland.

Come nightfall, celebrate together at Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party and relax at D23's private hospitality lounge (located at the Swan Boat Landing in front of Cinderella Castle) for holiday treats and cocoa. You'll also enjoy reserved viewing for Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Parade. Holiday magic abounds, and, of course, it wouldn't be a D23 event without a very special holiday gift to commemorate the weekend! Happy holidays from your friends at D23!

ABSOLUTELY AWESOME!!!

Two days admission and MVMCP is $200 by itself. Sounds like a pretty good deal too. Plus an opportunity to go to the Dream Suite, reserved seating, etc. etc. If I was going to be down there, I'd do it.

I'm also babysitting CJ this weekend. He's with me as of a few hours ago and up until Sunday afternoon. Wish me luck that I do all the right things! :thumbsup2
