As you can see, I'm a big fan of the oceangram program. It's fun to send out messages on the virtual ocean and wonder where they'll end up. I also hold out hope that one I've seen before will come back to me again.

And what do you people do?

Interrupt the ebb and flow with all of your DIS talk.

Hijack messages and make them all about you and the DIS, regardless of what the original topic was.

Rather than appreciate the beauty of a bottle floating in the ocean, holding a message that may wash ashore anywhere, you come back here, like pre-teeny girls and giggle and huddle together and basically undermine the whole point of oceangram.

What don't you get about it?

Please don't make it an extension of the DIS. That's not what it's meant for.

I've gotten plenty of bottles that have no DIS messages whatsoever. I've also gotten plenty of bottles that I've discarded because their messages were completely innappropriate!

We are just a group of people having fun... the same as you: having fun.

We aren't trying to poop your party. Why are you trying to ruin ours?

Perhaps you and I are seeing completely different messages, I haven't seen any that were "hijacked" and the topic changed by DISers. I have however, seen them changed by people not associated with our fun and friendly message board.

This is not a little kiddie board.. yes we like to have fun and sometimes it can get a bit Romper Room-ish (pardon us for cutting loose! ) Stay awhile... maybe you'll get a chance to see what a great group of people we have here!
