We are staying at VB for the first time next may for 3 nights. We have our DD who will be 6. Which is better, a studio or a Deluxe ocean view room at the inn?

My concerns are that the DOV has a better view but the studio will be bigger. Also, I'd like to be close to the beach and pool.

VB is a pretty compact resort. You will only be a few steps from the beach or the pool no matter which you choose.

IMHO, the Inn rooms are not smaller than the studios

We had what I consider a HUGE room when we stayed in a DOV room late last year. Two queen beds, vanity outside the bathroom and a separate area (small hall that connected it to bedroom area) that had a sleep sofa and the kitchenette. Entry to the room was through the kitchenette. We had a wall of windows overlooking the ocean and a balcony overlooking the pool. Wonderful room. Of course there's no guarantee that you will be assigned a room exactly like it, but IMHO, the DOV rooms are really nice. I'd choose it over the studio again - especially since there were two beds. The studios will have 1 queen and a sleep sofa.

We stayed in an inn room in April. I enjoyed being in the main building, just steps from all the amenities. Our room overlooked the pool AND the ocean, and it was a standard view! Maybe we were upgraded?

Maybe I am imagining things, but it felt bigger than our BCV studio (which overlooked the mysterious "crop circle" configuration).

We have stayed in both and my DD happens to be six.

I would say the DOV all the way!!!!!!!

We didn't like our studio nearly as much as all of our stays in the DOV rooms.

The view is much better and they inn rooms felt bigger to us than the studios. My kids did not like sleeping on pull out bed in the studio because of the thin mattress and bar that runs through the middle of the bed.

I can say with certainty that we will probably never book a studio again.

I'm not sure but I think the studios at VB are bigger than some of the DVC studios at WDW.
