Vero Beach

My husband and I are still debating if DVC is right for us. So we are sampling before we buy. In October we're staying at BCV for 3 nights and in February we are thinking of trying Vero Beach. Vero draws me the most because the beach is our first love and Disney quality is second.

Has anyone been to Vero in Feb? I'm from NY so I have trouble thinking anywhere is really warm enough to enjoy the ocean in Feb, including Florida.

Any input would be appreciated. Thank you.

February in Vero will be warmer than NY and even a bit warmer than WDW. The Gulf Stream flows right off Vero and helps moderate the water temps. Vero is the beginning of the "tropics". However, weather can still be hit or miss. If you get a daytime temp in the 50-60 range, swimming in the ocean won't be a lot of fun. Usually, a temp like that will only last a day or two and it'll bounce back up into the 70 or even 80 range.
