Vero Beach - "Share a Chair"???

We are going to Vero Beach for three nights at the end of August and will intend buying a couple of cheap and cheerful beach chairs (so we can sit in the ocean if we want) - is there any sort of "chair share" scheme going on - or would anyone be interested in them on the 2nd December as we depart. Hate to think of them going to waste!

This is a great idea..... Im going in Mid August I will keep an eye on the thread to see if we can string a bunch together.

We'll be in VB at the same time 8/26-9/2. We now always travel the AutoTrain from VA and pack our own chairs, table, umbrella, etc. in our car. It is definitely cheaper to purchase these items if you are going to be there 3 days or more. In the past at the end of our stay I would scope out a needy person(s), maybe couple sitting on a blanket under the boardwalk for shade, and just go up to them and say ""we're leaving our vacation now and can't take our umbrella or chairs... would you like to have them?" The response is always gratifying. I would look forward to that moment. Last year I overheard a DS & DD asking dad to rent a body board to ride the waves and I could tell dad was struggling with the thought of the cost. My board (I'm a wave riding nut) had a few years on it and I was planning in the back of my head to get a new one so went over to them and did the above... You would have thought by their looks of disbelief and joy that they had just won the lottery. I just told them to pass it on to someone when they leave. What a great feeling. Vero Beach is our very favorite place to go. Hope you have a great visit... maybe we'll all run in to each other. Rob & Mary Beth

I'm doing a split BWV and Vero Beach as well. I'm at VB from 8/14-8/18. What are the rest of your dates? If I buy chairs I would love to pass them along. I'd love even more to have them passed to me first!

If I buy chairs i will leave them for you with front desk when we check out late on the 18th. PM me with your real name so I can leave them for you. Not 100% sure what we are doing yet, just check at the desk when you check in. Hopefully I can save you some money. Now is anyone going to Vero and leaving on or about August 14 who would like to leave some chairs for me? Please!
