Vero Beach Satisfaction Poll

This poll is for the VERO BEACH.
A reply on a recent post looking for positive reports on BCV stated when
“we do a survey and have people rate their experiences at the resorts. Overwhelmingly, the polls indicate a high satisfaction level with all resorts.”
With this in mind, I am going post polls for each of the DVC resorts. This is not a resort bashing opportunity, but a time to rate your experience at a resort. Please only vote if you had stayed at the resort, not just visited. Because people rate problems differently – some hate lint on the carpet others don’t, some don’t mind waiting ½ hour for housekeeping to fix something others do, I am leaving it open. Rate it on a personal level for yourself.

Rated DVC VB as exceeded expectations.
We (I, DW and DS's - now - 6 and 4) think this resort is fabulous! The pool is wonderful, the kiddie "water play area" is a blast, and DS6 and I had fun with the miniature golf. Our room was in great condition, the restaurants were very nice and the CM's were very pleasant and helpful. We'll be back!

I chose "average" for two reasons:
First -we had a problem w/ants in our room...got that worked on, but they are persistent little buggs
Second - it was dog eat dog competition to get a chair around the pool - and blood was drawn over tables, too.
The resort is lovely and we had a very good time, but not having to battle the ants and the chair-brigands would have made the stay go right up into the excellent range. (The Green Cabin Room is wonderful and our favorite place to hang out )

My "wish list" includes a "quiet pool at VB" so, VB is not perfect for me, but it's pretty close, and it's one of our homes, 150 points there!

A quiet pool would be wonderful. It would help buffer the times when the Vero pool is being rehabed. It could be put over near building 13.

Our first visit to VB was in 1999 and we thought we would be bored compared to WDW. Well, we loved it so much, that is when we purchased DVC. VB is a very different type of vacation, relaxing and fun. The resort is just beautiful and the kids love the pool and all the activities.

We have been back 3 times since 1999 and going again in 2 weeks!

I would have voted excellent but plumped for good as I think the resort would be perfect if only DVC would add a quiet pool

I voted excellent but I would also like to see a quiet pool and also think that pretty soon they will have to update/replace some of the furnishings and rugs.

We have 200 points there.

How is the beach and the ocean water clarity?

I am used to the panhandle of florida with fairly clear blue - green water and white baby powder sand.

I am interested in the resort and any info would be helpful.

I voted Excellent. We had a wonderful time at Vero Beach and I hope we are able to return on an annual basis. Our visit there is the reason I want to buy DVC!

I actually had high expectations going in - it was Disney, afterall - and I felt my expectations were exceeded. I can't think of a thing to complain about!

As to the water quality, the water is not clear like the water in the Panhandle. That being said, my youngest ds was having a great time with his snorkel and mask finding shells.

Our family loves everything about Vero. This year will be our 7th trip there and I am just as excited as the first time. When we walk through the doors and I see that big turtle on the floor in the lobby I know that I am truly home!

Good - met expectations. Like the resort very much. CMs wonderful. Too bad it was never completed to its original concept.
