I can't find any info on what they serve at the pool bar for food. Any info will be appreciated! Also do we need a PS for Sunday Brunch? 5 more weeks till our first trip to Vero!

I don't know about the sunday brunch, but i do know that the pool bar food is pretty standard fare and was quite good.

Bleacher's serves a fried shrimp basket, chicken wraps, hot dogs, cheeseburgers, grilled chicken sandwich and I think a salad.

We like the food better there than in Shutters to tell the truth. :goodvibes

I will 2nd this! We didn't like Shutters at all but the pool bar more our style. Plus their grilled cheese sandwiches are AWESOME...

I have another question about the VC pool bar. I never know what to do. If I order food from the pool bar, am I supposed to add a tip? I know a tip should be added for an adult beverage, but what if I just order food?:confused3

The pool bar is counter service-no tipping necessary-unless you order food from one of the waitresses that come around the pool area. We liked the food from the pool bar and found we could split the wrap and chicken tender if we added some fruit to the order. And then you have room for ice cream!:thumbsup2

Typical fast food items like burgers, dogs, chicken fingers (not really fingers though), fries, sandwiches, pizza, etc. All pretty tasty and good portions. Tea and carbonated beverages. This is where you refill your mug (self serve, which I really like). Also, beer, (maybe wine), mixed drinks.

You're so close to the beach that using your refillable mug is very thrifty.

Have a great trip... You're going to love it. :beach:

BTW... there is a lake with picnic tables and grills, hike/bike trail, basketball & tennis courts accross the street. You get there via a tunnel that runs under the main highway. I mention this because it is not really advertised and I think many people never know about it. The hike/bike trail runs 8 miles up to Pelican Island.

DisDaydreamer , where is the trail located. We just got back and I walked over there and I didn't find an actual trail to the picnic table although it is an open area after you go beyond the bushes and such?

I was over there for a very long time , at leat 3 minutes and didn't see any type of trail . I was looking for something to do on my own without the kids :lmao:

C'mon Rob treat yourself to some Vero points already..you deserve them. I don't think I've ever heard anyone gush about a resort more unless possibly our dear Beca and her BCV. You've got such a love of VB that it practically pains me to know that you don't own there. Maybe just a little add-on.....c'mon you know you want too

Yes Rob, you must indlulge! I just picked up 50 pts. cheap.......I'll keep a look out for you! :thumbsup2

We arrive on 10/7 -

Hey all... I've been away working on rennovating a townhouse I am going to sell (great timing huh? Must sell though). Thanks for the encouragement. I think if we had any problem booking VB we would find a way to buy-in. Or if we had split our contract into 2 contracts we would have sold one and bought VB by now. But for now we're happy being psuedo-owners.

I didn't think I gushed  Will have to watch myself in the future. And I think Starbox and Lisareniff are equal gushers. And bobbiwoz and Muushka are pretty close to gushing at times.

Thanks again for the friendly encouragement. Good to have friends :flower3:

Facing the pond from the road the trail entrance would be around the left side at about 10:00 as if the pond was a clock face. There used to be a little staked sign there, but I don't know if it is still there. The trail doesn't lead to a picnic table. I believe there are 2 or 3 of those around the pond. The trail actually can take you all the way up to Pelican Island (8 miles). I have not yet taken that trip. We have just taken the little walk-about around the area by the pond. It has been quite a while, but I think it also can lead you to the tennis/basketball courts.

Personally, I usually just tip with adult drinks. Usually, with the adult drinks if you leave a decent tip... the next drink is of higher quality... if you know what I mean. If it seems to be a difficult day or workload I'll leave a tip for appreciation with a food order.

 I have never seen a waiter/waitress come around the pool. Was that recently? Certainly would fit into how VB does things (oops... gushing), but I have never seen it.
