Vero Beach in the fall.

My DH & I receive our points this August!! YEAH! Has anyone ever been to Vero Beach in Sept/Oct? We are looking for a 4 day get away & thought this would be a nice relaxing long weekend. Any thoughts/experiences/advice are welcomed. Also..where do you fly into? We will be leaving from NJ...do we fly to Orlando?

Last year it was closed in the fall, due to the hurricanes.

If the weather cooperates, I would think Vero would be great in the fall. Early predictions are already out for another bad hurricane season, so who knows? Lots of people fly into Orlando. I fly into Melbourne just because it is closer, and others even use West Palm Beach's airport. I guess it's just whatever is easier and cheaper from where you live. You will love VB!

It is a great time of year...just keep an eye on weather reports (like you would for blizzards in the winter). I think you might enjoy October more than September. September can still be pretty hot.

Thank you. We just thought VB would be a great long weekend. Not too far, relaxing & hopefully not crazy expensive. Didn't think about the hurricanes....has anyone had experience with that. I mean, what happens if you cannot get down there? What happens to your points?
