Sand Ridge is a perfectly adiquate and well priced public course. It's worth checking to see which days they have their midweek "senior citizen" competitions. With a large retirement population this/these can be popular so it's worth trying to avoid this day(s) as it can make for a long round. A course I really like there is Aquarina, it is only a par 62 as it has no par 5s and a lot of par 3s, but it's close to Disney's resort, it's good value, you can get round and back to the resort in about three hours, very attractive layout, has a number of tricky holes and has been in excellent condition on the times I've played there. It's a very good warm up course if you're planning to move up to a couple of harder/championship courses later in the trip. I know there is a nice course at Ochid Island but I think this is a private course.
