Hi friends! :wave2: Next year my in laws are taking us on a cruise. (no not Disney) Anyway one of my SILs is thinking of not going back home right away since the kids will still be out of school and entraining them gets well exhausting. Anyway I was thinking about going to Vero Beach. Has anyone been there during the holidays? How was it? Would you recommend it for a family with a 15 and 13 year old. Any information would help. Thanks in advance

We had some points leftover last year and tacked on a couple of days at Vero over New Years. We really enjoyed being right on the beach and having the pool with all the activities. Your SIL and kids would have a great time. We are definitely going to do it again this year after a few days with the In laws to relax.

Thanks for the response. It was really for my family I was asking for. So do they go all out with the decorating too?

We have been at Vero twice for NYE. The first time was because of poor planning. We waited too long to book and there were no rooms at WDW. We were a little bummed but we ended up loving it!!! The resort was beautifully decorated. We had dinner at Sonya's and then they had a pool party with music and everything. We hung out there until midnight. During the day it was warm enough to swim in the pool and at night we hung out in the villa playing games and watching DVDs, which are both free for members to rent. It was the perfect way to unwind away from the Disney chaos but still get the Disney service and feel. :)
