We just stayed at Vero Beach for the first time before we went to BCv for 5 days. I thougt Vero Beach was wonderful. We had a 2 BDR and I thought the lay out was great. It seemed bigger than the 2bdr at BCV. I really preferred the L.R. and Kitchen at VB. The Green Cabin room was very enjoyable for me and my wife with the live music at night. My kids loved the beach.

BCV is still our favorite but I think it could change it I spent more time at Vero. I really can not believe Disney had a hard time selling the units at Vero the place is beautiful and has alot for kids to do.

Isn't VB just a wonderful place?:p We stayed there last year for the first time, and it was great! Makes me consider an add-on...

I LOVE VB!! This was the only way DH would okay us buying--if VB was our home resort. We'd never been there at the time but he gets sick of Orlando. So we went last Xmas for the first time and fell in love. We just got back from there 4th of July and we already have trips booked for Dec adn next March!

So glad to read about your wonderful experience! We will be arriving there one week from today!! I am looking forward to seeing how great it is for myself! :)

We just stayed at VB for the first time last week, but could only stay 1 night (after staying at VWL most of the week).

We loved it! I had wanted to ask, do most of the kids who stay all week get to know each other by going to the activities? In the pool many of the kids seemed to be friends already and we were only able to go to one kids' activity on the morning we were leaving (marbles) and from that I realized how nice it would be for my kids to be there for a longer time and do these activities so they could make some new friends.

Is that what happens?

VB works better for us than HHI because we can get an Inn Room in the summer for 10 points! HHI usually only has 2 bedrooms open. We only have 150 points and VB seems like a great way to use our points!

We love VB and so do our kids (DS9, DS7, DD3). Last month we stayed in a beach cottage with my parents for 5 nights and had a blast. And yes, by the time the week is up, the kids had made several friends. They'd go from the pool to the beach to the community hall to the bocce lawn and back again with their new friends. When we went to the campfire, they had to sit with them and not with us. They'll have great memories of the place as they grow older. It's the closest thing to a "summer at the shore" that this family in Kansas will get!

Combination vacations are great, some time at WDW and some time relaxing at the beach. I still can't decide which order I like best WDW then beach or vice versa.

For the past few years we have still taken a "commando-style" approach to WDW, but we're getting more relaxed at it. Owing to that, VB AFTER WDW is the way to end the trip...

I think this would be best for us too. VB after WDW would be a nice way to end a vacation.
