Please tell me about Dining at Vero Beach.... Prices is a big question. Anything else I need to know. We are travelling with two small boys (3 & 4 years old). Any info would help. Thank you!

Just about the same as a table service at WDW. For the kds thay will have M&C, Pizza. You will have one resturant open all week the more $$$ resturant is open on the weekend only. There are some resturant up the road from the resort we only ate on property as we were there for 2 nights. Love the resort and going back this year 4 nights this time.

Resort Meals are in the $20 - $30 range for adults and $10 for kids meals. Try squid lips very casual and VERY kid friendly. It is about 5 mins drive away. Also order some extra french fries to feed the fish off the dock after dinner.

Best pizza is Orchid Island Pizza right on the corner of the Disney property. They will actually deliver as well.

We're at VB this week and I just happened to pick up menues from Shutters today. I took some pictures and when I upload later today, I'll be sure to post them here - hopefully they'll be where you can see what's on them, etc. But as a PP said, it's about the same range as what you'll find at the Orlando sites.

Great question. I have some info that might help you and Cindi D. both. Though they don't advertise it at Shutters/Sonyas (same kitchen actually) but, you can get take-out. Just go down to the hostess desk and tell them you want to order take-out. They will put everything in styrofoam containers and you can take it back to your room or to the pool. My point is that the entrees are plenty of food for two people. We will order one entree and two salads for us and it is plenty. This cuts the meal costs at least in half considering you are not also paying a gratuity. Plus we're are not real comfortable in the hussle, bussle of the restaurant atmosphere and really enjoy eating in the room or at the pool.

Otherwise, the bar & grille by the pool which offers mostly lunch type food is going to be much cheaper in general. I think they close at 8 pm. Cindi should be able to confirm this. And, by the way the Long Island Iced Tea (adult drink) is the best bang for the buck there too. Leave them a tip and the drinks get better as you go.

Subscribing...popcorn:: and these tips are duely noted!!

You can also order lite fare in the Green Cabin Room. Here is the run down on the food offerings at Vero:

Disney's Vero Beach Resort
Dining
Savor a variety of dining options including sit-down meals, cool drinks and quick snacks to go.

Shutters
Stop by for breakfast, lunch or dinner and discover a creative American cooking style with surprising ethnic influences.

Sonya's
Linger over the noteworthy menu of prime aged steaks, chops and seafood in the rich, romantic atmosphere of dark wood and candlelight.

The Green Cabin Room
Enjoy libations and light fare on the porch or inside this oh-so-relaxing little hideaway.

Bleachers Bar & Grill
Feast on traditional fun foods, like hot dogs and burgers, and treat yourself to a frozen tropical drink at this poolside eatery.

Barbecue Grills
Cook your own specialties at one of the grills located throughout the resort, available on a first-come, first-served basis

For off site options, there are a ton of early bird specials and discounts for the area and with small kids, that's likely the best time to eat anyway.

I'm adding a vote for the raspberry mojito - it was SO GOOD at the Green Cabin Room (fresh mint and real raspberries) - nothing like the cruddy syrupy ones they serve at WDW.

And :thumbsup2 for tipping the bartender. :flower3: Eventually you may actually get Disney drinks with alcohol in them.

I have to try that raspberry mojito... never heard of it... BTW... good to cross paths again. You are a good friend starbox. Truly.

Actually, I found that the bartender(s) at Bleachers were quite generous with the mixes... and even more so with the nice tips. They definitely remember their best customers.

VB caters to all ages.... sincerely, they do.

VB ROCKS......

You are my hero! I was so hoping you would post the menus!

I'm usually not one to compain but in Sept. I actually wrote VB and MS about the huge change in the menus (similar to what has happened at WDW restaurants) as is seen in the menus on allears. Two years ago they had a much wider menu. They used to have about 10 kids entrees and 2 veggie entrees. The chef called me back and indicated that he may have more control in the future.

Looks like they added one or two things and made things a little more well rounded. We still wouldn't go there for dinner (No veggie entree or tween friendly choice ...and nothing jumping out for me either) but lunch looks possible.

Thanks for posting the menus!!!

Does anyone know the hours that Bleachers is open in late May??? It is just during the mid-day hours like Hurricane Hanna's at BC? I am hoping it is later than that so we can get dinner from there while enjoying the early evening by the pool.

Thanks to all that posted information. You all have been helpful! Special thanks to nzdisneymom for the menus.... You all rule!:thumbsup2
