Good morning, everyone.

We are looking at getting a 1BD in Vero Beach from 9/23/10 - 9/26/10 (Thur.-Sun), but we won't know if our vacation request will be approved by one of our employers until 8/16. Our only concern is that if they delay in telling us, and we end up under 31 days, we might end up having points in holding status.

So with that said, we're thinking of waiting until after we find out to make the reservation. What we don't know, however, is how busy Vero is in late September. It is the lowest season according to the points charts, but we don't know if it really is a slow season, or if it's a situation like WDW in early December - low in points because of a low non-DVC attendance, but busy with DVC because of the low points.

Can anyone share some words of wisdom as to whether we should take the chance on waiting to reserve or if we should book now and take the chance of having to cancel late?

Thanks!

Ryan

that time frame really is a slow season for VB. I think you should be alright by waiting. One never really knows as every year is alittle different. I've not been to vero in Sept., but I've been many times in Oct and Nov and it's been my experience that the resort has never been completely full.

I hope that helps
