Vero Beach April Vacation

Just bought into DVC during our WDW vacation, and we are already spending those points!!! How busy is Vero Beach during April Vacation? Should we do day by day calling or will we be Ok at the 7 month mark?

We booked Vero Beach within the 7 month this past year .. We went during April school break in the NE and didn't have a problem. Didn't do day by day or anything. We just got an Inn room.

Of course if you want something special or you are very concerned about not getting it..day by day isn't painful. We do it for our Oct BCV trip.

We were there Easter week and it was packed. I own points there and book our spring break at 11 months(that's why we bought them).

Ran into some people who used to live in our hometown and they book 7 months with SSR points for the last couple of years. She does it day by day, it's easy to get Fri-Sat nights(high points nights), but she usually ends up waitlisting 3-4 nights. This trip they didn't get 2 of their nights until about 3 weeks before the trip. She said she always ends up on the waitlist for a couple of nights but this year it took longer to fill. I think they were staying in a 1 or 2 br.

We have booked VB a couple of times at the 7 month window for the first week of April (our Spring Break) and never had any trouble getting the room type we wanted. We did not call day by day either. That is not to say as DVC grows it won't be harder to get in. Good Luck and Welcome!!
