Vero Beach and dressing up?

Looking for a little advice...

We are packing for our first trip home to Vero Beach. It suddenly dawned on us: is there anything going on at VB that we need to bring dressy clothes for???

Any advice would be greatly appreciated...thanks.

IMHO, the answer is no. Of course you will need something besides pool/beach clothes , but unless you have a special event planned somewhere outside of the resort, you sure don't need any "dress up" clothes. We only saw casual clothes (slacks, shorts, t-shirts, polo shirts, etc.) in the restaurants and the Green cabin room.

It's a bar on the Inn's second floor. As the the Member Guidebook says, "libations and light fare served." The outside deck has a view of the dunes and ocean.

We took a few dressy clothes the first time because we thought they might be needed for Sonya's. Nope, they understand that the people there are on vacation. We see some people dressed up and others in shorts, etc.

It's hard to find anywhere in Florida that requires real dressing up. If you enjoy getting a little fixed up, resort casual style (nice pants outfit, sun dress, etc.) you will find that in some of the nicer restaurants in the area. A nice polo shirt will serve a man most anywhere.

I never bring a 'suit & tie' to anything Disney. I do however, as stated by Pam, bring 'resort casual' clothes for when I frequent places such as Sonya's.

What is the "Green Cabin Room" ?

It's kid friendly with live music almost every night. Kids can drink milkshakes, etc. Its a VB must, enjoy.

I think my dad has those plaid pants the 2nd guy is wearing. I'm pretty sure he wears them with his lime green members only jacket.
