Can anyone tell me if Vero is a good idea for Easter Week? We were at OKW this year for Easter week and it was absolutely wonderful just to relax at the resort -- we only did the parks 2 days and used FP whenever possible.

Here's the thing -- I would really like us to try VB and thought Easter week might be slightly less crowded than it would be during the summer.

So, here are the questions:

1. Have you been there during Easter week?

2. Was it crowded? (since people there aren't dispersing to the parks, I thought it might seem more crowded than OKW)

3. Is the weather pretty nice?

4. Would it be hard to get at the 7 month window?

5. What kind of room do you recommend?

we were there this past easter at the beginning of our easter trip before we drove to the bcv the day before easter day.

yes

2. Was it crowded? (since people there aren't dispersing to the parks, I thought it might seem more crowded than OKW)

it didnt seem like it was crowed, but the cm did say they were sold out, we had a problem with our ocean view inn room, they just painted it and moved the thermostac and it smelled of paint fumes and super glue or something like that, we ended up with the only room left , it was a smoking room.

3. Is the weather pretty nice?

yes it was nice, warm, went to the beach and pool everyday, believe it or not it is the same weather that you would have in disney. but dont forget easter 05 is about two weeks earler .

4. Would it be hard to get at the 7 month window?

yes, i booked it just over 6 1/2 months and had no problem.
ocean view inn.

5. What kind of room do you recommend?

depends on how many people, a direct ocean view room.

i do have to say there is not a whole lot to do at vb but if you are just relaxing and want pool/beach time, this is the place.
we said next time we were so geared up for vacation and so use to being on the go, we would have done wdw first then vb to relax,
our most exciting adventure was to walmart the superstore, lol and captain hermans, a must for sea food.

Thanks, wdwstar!

I noticed you are going to Mackinac Island -- are you using points? Have you done it before? That is the resort where Somewhere In Time was filmed, right? I'd love to hear all about it when you return. Please be sure to do a trip report here!
