Aparently not, but chances are your question will be removed just as mine was a few days ago. I asked if everyone on that cruise got their own special thread. Then, poof.....my question and all the replies disappeared. So no, not everyone gets to have their own cruise thread, but some do.:D

Here is the only remaining reference:

Oops, I guess someone missed this response when they were busy with the delete button.

Why ruin such a nice post with such silly questions?

I dont frequent the boards every day, maybe once every week or so, but Andy has touched many peoples lives on these boards in many ways. I do not know Andy personally, and quite honestly dont think I have even written a post to him personally or responded to him, etc, but have seen the giving and caring by him unconditionally. I think most on her will remember the Page Family, and little Nate. The postcards. Among other things.

From the posts I have read, I think Andy is just one of those special people who has seen alot, been through alot, and can give alot back to everyone. Obviously, with the amount of posts on this thread alone, you can see the people he has touched .

So, may I suggest, kindly, to refrain from trying to ruin such a nice post to Andy from people that I think truly care about him, and who he cares about in return. Your posts really didnt need to be written...I am not trying to be rude at all, but really, what did you expect to get from asking such a question?

Editted to add: Andy, I do truly wish you a wonderful week as well!!

*sigh*

I will say this once and only once for anyone who has an 'issue' with this thread - it is not up for debate and we will not allow this thread to be hijacked.

Miss Jasmine & my3kids, if you know someone from this board on a cruise and you want to wish them a nice trip then you are perfectly free to do so, no one here is stopping you so where exactly is the problem? :)

If this type of post annoys anyone else I suggest you simply skip over them, though of course if you can suggest a better place than the Cruise Board for wishing someone a pleasant Cruise then I am all ears

BUT, let me make it crystal clear here, sarcastic/mean spirited posts are NOT acceptable. From anyone. To anyone. Those posts will be removed.

I'm asking nicely here, please just knock it off people.

Through circumstances that are too involved to outline here, I became connected to a special child, Devina. Those of you who have followed my postings, know that her father was recently killed while serving in the USAF in Iraq. She & I spent her 1st birthday without her dad (it was her 8th birthday) on the Disney Wonder.

When Andy & Hazel learned “Devina’s story” they jumped on the bandwagon with me and assisted in bringing joy & happiness to this precious little girl. Shirley at 'THE PERFECT GIFT" also added to this project! It’s not necessary to outline here what all they did. Those of you who know Any & Hazel and Shirley can imagine how they responded to this situation.

Here’s hoping that Andy and Hazel have a great cruise. It has not been an easy year for them and they deserve all the fun that normally goes with a Disney cruise.

Bill

We are onboard with Andy and Hazel and all the fellow dis'ers. We are having a magical time. After finally getting to meet Andy in person and spending a little time with him and his family, I must say he really is a great guy and the most unselfish person you could ever meet. Below is a photo of Andy and Prudence our server from Jamaica taken at Animator's Palate Sunday night.

I also have pictures of Andy at the 60's dance night last night. He has offered me $50 not to put them on the board, which I accepted however he doesn't realize it's $50 per day so stay tuned

Looks like Andy is having a great time! I'd love to see those photos from 60's night though!

Lookin' Good, Andy!

BTW Steverog - can we "counteroffer" to SEE the 60's pics?

Just kidding, Andy - keep having a great time.

Arlene

For all of you who are curious, how I got the pictures to the web while on board. Andy requested to the captain when the captain stopped by our dinner table last night, that he find me an ethernet port to plug into. And of course "When Verandah Man talks people listen"

NOT

There is a really nice cyberzone cafe less than 100 yards from the ship here in St. Thomas. If you have your own laptop they have internet access cheap. All you need is a standard ethernet jack. There number is 340-714-7743 or www.cyber-zone.biz in case you have some future needs maybe they can help you.

I LOVE this play-by-play color commentary! Makes me feel like I'm almost there... Thanks so much for taking time from your vacation to share your joy with us!

Great Pictures! Thanks for the tip too on the internet service in st. thomas! :)

Keep the updates coming! ::yes::

Steve, your children are beautiful! I'm glad you are all having a wonderful time!! :sunny:

Mr Bill: I don't know the details at all, but you sound like a great person. And what little I know of Andy and his family, and Shirley, I am not surprised that all these generous people pulled together to help the little girl out. On behalf of humanity, THANK YOU, to all of you :)

Regarding Andy: I don't know him, he doesn't know me. But last year when I posted about problems that good friends of ours had, and had to cancel their Disney World trip, Andy and his wife Hazel, took a personal memento of theirs, and SENT it to my friend's children, to brighten up their lives. They wouldn't accept any kind of reimbursement or payment, either. Andy and his family are GOOD, genuine people, who go out of their way to help others, or just try to give them a smile. I think most people are good-natured, but people like Andy go that extra mile to make things "happen" for other people, wanting no credit for themselves.

So yes....Andy *is* special, and that's why so many people here are thrilled to hear that he and his family are having a great time :)

Oh...and by the way....I *DO* wish ALL of us DIS cruisers a MAGICAL WONDERFUL trip, too! ::yes::

Steverog...Your children are beautiful!!! Glad you all are having a great time.

We board on Saturday, so keep up the Magic

I feel like I am cybercruising on the Magic...this is Wonderful or should I say Magical.

And those children Steve - those are very precious pictures. I love seeing the youngers dressed for formal night. It so makes the evening.

Thanks for sharing but dont' spend so much time online that you forget to have fun. We CAN wait for the trip report when you return.

OMG . . . I'm 31 days out from our cruise, and you're making me itch with anticipation! Steve and Andy, we hope you're having a magic-al time!

I just wanted to add a little something about Andy. Last Christmas I had posted that my DD accidentally dropped her DCL Christmas ornament, and I was looking for information on purchasing a new one. Andy and family took their ornament off their tree and insisted on sending it to my DD along with a beautiful card from Mickey and Minnie. He wanted nothing in return and kept emailing me saying that Christmas is all about the kids! Anyways, my point is that it really doesn’t matter if you have had any personal contact with Andy, just look around these boards and you will see that Andy and Hazel are very unique and genuine people and deserve the respect of all of us on these boards!

Andy,
We are so pleased to hear that you are having a great, relax, kick back and enjoy the Magic of it all! Be sure to head out on the verandah late at night and take in the Magic of the world around you!

Ken, Deb and Jenna

P.S.

Thanks for the pictures Steverog! TOO CUTE!!!

OMG! I just noticed the count down clock I better go pack!
