Vera Bradley lovers... help would be appreciated!

This is a fun thread. I would love to share.

I have On the Go in mesa red. I love the size and pockets, but I don't like the single strap. I prefer double. Red is not usually my thing, but this is a cute pattern!

I have Little Betsy in purple passion - my all time FAVE pattern - so cute.. I had to get the zip around wallet to match. I like the purse, but always have it stuffed. I like the pattern so much that I have considered another bag, but that would be a little overkill..... or may be not!?

I have Bucket Tote in blue rhapsody - LOVE the tote - use as purse/diaper bag combo - very pretty pattern also.

I have backsack in raspberry fizz just cuz everyone needs this kind of bag - right? It is so cute, but I use it only every so often.


Question about Stephanie.... are straps long enough that it is a shoulder bag?

I am feeling the need to buy again, but I am stuck on colors. I like the Cupcake Green, but seriously, bright green... every day?! I like the Coral but I am worried I will tire of it cuz thats not my usual color. I like the Bali Blue but wonder if there is too much gold..... any Bali blue owners what do you think? I like the Peacock, but there are not many choices left in this pattern esp the accessories. The other problem is I don't want just one thing I want one of the wristlet all in ones and some type of bag comparable in size to Bucket Tote. Do you guys always match your wallet to your purse or do you mix and match your patterns?

I can't see your pictures of the pleated tote! I just ordered it for my DD10 for a school tote for next year. Do you think it's big enough for a 5th grader to use as a school bag? I was trying to remember how it looked with the wipes box in it. The Vera bag was the one I was trying to get but it was sold out in all the sale colors I thought she would like. TIA!

I'm reviving this thread with yet another question - still searching for THE perfect bag!

I am using the Besty bag this week. It's a wee bit too small... the pleated tote is perfect for a school bag and for carrying things back and forth to work, but too big for a purse (I tried to use it for a purse and it was almost perfect but not quite!).

I guess I need a size between Betsy and Pleated Tote. I am looking at either the Stephanie bag or the Large Hobo. Any thoughts on either of these? Or is there a different VB bag I might want to try?

I have the best bosses in the whole world! I had been checking the Vera Bradley website and wanting to buy something, but knowing we needed to save money I wouldn't let myself buy anything. I didn't say anything about it to anyone but for mother's day my wonderful bosses bought me the reversible tote in Make Me Blush along with the matching checkbook cover, umbrella, manicure kit and pencil set, which the last 3 I didn't even know existed. I love it! It's big enough for all of my stuff, but not too big. And the pattern is so bright and summery. She said I needed a summer purse, I've never had more than one purse at a time so I feel totally spoiled. I love my bosses!!

Just got a large hobo in Night and Day and OMG it is awesome! It is amazing how I was able to fit in my lunch bag (also VB) and all my other school stuff. Definitely a great purchase.

I stopped at a Hallmark that has a Vera selection. I didn't like Stephanie either... the straps were too shortish - didn't fit well on my shoulder and it felt like it was stuffed up in my armpit. I also liked the large hobo, but I didn't purchase anything yet.

i really want one of those all in one wristlets, but.... I can't decide if I want the raspberry fizz to match my backsack or if I want a whole new pattern which leads to a new tote on so on and so on

I have become a total Vera Bradley addict in the past month!

I've ordered three times (big orders!) this month - I now have all these bags here - some too small, some too big, some almost perfect but not quite...

The pleated tote is almost perfect to carry as a purse, but it's kind of tall. I feel kind of silly carrying such a big bag for a purse, although this is only the second day I've carried it. Maybe I just need to adjust, like I did with my Disney Dooney.

Does anyone else carry the pleated tote as a purse? I'm also looking at the Besty bag now. I'm looking for something that is very similar to the pleated tote in size, but a little shorter. It looks like the Betsy bag might fit that description. Can anyone confirm?

Oh, and I also just got the Hipster in the new Night and Day pattern from Ebay for a great price! I'll use that for Disney. It definitely won't fit a folder. I can fit three 16-oz or two 20-oz water bottles. the 20-oz ones go almost to the top, but I think I could still zip it.

I also have the Large Duffel and the Get Carried Away bag. They will help me NOT check any bags when I fly to AZ next week!

ok, I just ordered the super tote using the discount posted earlier. We're going to CA this summer and I wanted to use it for a carry on. We will still check bags, because I do not travel light; there's no way I can fit my toiletries in one quart size bag:eek: but I will at least pack some extra clothes and some basic toiletry necessities in my carry on bag. I never used to do this but last trip our luggage was delayed so I figure it really is a good idea to carry these things now.

You don't have to fit them all only the liquids here is one way around that. LUSH buy lush shampoo, soap and massage/lotion bar there all solids so you don't have to worry about them as a liquid. I don't bring lip gloss only lipstick chap stick I use bare essentuals so no liquid there. In my 1qt bag I pack things like hand sanitizer, hair gel, toothpaste, mouthwash etc and I always bring just enough for a week so I either buy sample/travel sizes or I buy smaller containers to repack just what I need. For my perfume I purchased a mini roller and filled it with my fragrance. I also take up my df qt I pack it and leave it on top so he doesn't' have to struggle to find it. You can also fill a second qt bag with prescriptions. If you rent a car save the hassel and just buy small sizes when you get there thats what I do when I go to europe.

I have both The weekender is smaller (more for short trips) and the large duffel really fits a LOT. I also think the duffel is easier to carry-- perfect strap length. The strap on the weekender is a bit ungainly (too long) and hurt my shoulder after awhile.

Thank you! The strap is actually what I was worried about. I liked the size of the duffel, but I was worried that it was difficult to carry.

I got the email for up to 70% off clearance. Have to resist. I had 5 things in my shopping cart, backed it off the just 2, but will probably have to pass on them for now...unless we have a hugely successful yard sale this weekend.
