There seems to be a few of us around (on the Budget Board especially) that would like opinions/reviews/pictures/etc. about the various styles of bags.

A few of us have posted wondering about the sizes and pockets and such so I thought there had to be someone here with the bags in question to help us!!

I'll send the Budget Boarders this way if there is someone out there with a Vera Bradley knowledge to help us out??

Personally, I'm interested in the 'On the Go' style right now. Trying to get a better idea of it's functionality and size.

Would love reviews/info on all styles though!!

Personally, I have the Betsy, which I LOVE! It was 6 deep pockets on the inside, as well as one on the outside. It's a fairly decent size, I can't fit a regular sized textbook in it but a smaller one I can. I like to use it for shopping. It holds so much!

This is the website: http://www.verabradley.com/product/...all/pageSize/88/sc/641/c/0/currentIndex/0.uts

Sorry I can't help you about On The Go, but I'd love to hear about the Hipster is anyone has one.

I have a Hipster, actually. It's way too small for me but I carry a ton of crap.

I think it'll be good for vacationing (*cough* Disney World *cough*) but I'm pretty much done with carrying it as a day-to-day bag. Just not working for me. I think it would be perfect to carry my room key, a bottle of water, camera, sanitizer, etc. through the parks, though!

I had a Cargo Sling previously and it was too big, but I might have to go back to it since the Hipster is just driving me nuts. I can't even zip it, I have so much crap shoved in it! I had to put my car keys in the diaper bag earlier :rotfl:

I'm a reallyyyyy big Vera Bradley fan.

I personally have the Zip Tote, Mailbag, Handbag, Lola, Older Tie Tote, Little Betsy, Maggie, and Hannah as well as my mom took my hipster and my aunt took my Tic-Tac Tote.

If you want to know about any of them.... Just let me know! :)

LOL! I'm still only a high school student so I don't have that much to carry around. Do you think you would be able to fit a folder in the Hipster? Also, how long does it extend? There's not too many Vera Bradley products sold around here so I have to buy online. :(

PS - Your son is a cutie and congratulations on the baby on the way! He or she is going to be cute just like their brother, I can tell! :)

You won't be able to fit a folder in a hipster. I can fit my planner in it but not a folder.
:)

I love love love my weekender bag. We take a lot of weekend trips and it fits my clothes perfectly, but just mine not dh's too. I don't know what I did without it. I also just got the small duffel for myself and one for dd. Its pretty roomy for a small, dd used hers for a sleepover and she could fit her clothes and other stuff in it with no problems. For purses I have a mini hipster, small betsy, small tic tac tote, a tall zip tote (I use for my netbook), and a hipster. I don't like huge handbags so the ones I have are perfect for me. Dd has an Amy and a Hannah, both of those are really small, but perfect for her because she's 12 and doesn't carry alot of junk yet  She also uses a messenger bag for school and she fits all of her books in it with no problem.

After posting all the bags we have I'm thinking I may have a slight addiction :rolleyes1 Anybody own any of the sunglasses?? :cool2:

ETA, I thought of 2 more we have, dd has a book tote to carry in between classes. This would be perfect for a folder and a couple books. We also have the lunch totes.

I have a pair of the Sunglasses! They are amazing! :) :)

Nope, a folder wouldn't fit. I assume you mean a folder like you'd carry around for papers in school? I'm sitting here staring at it and trying to figure out how to describe it's size and coming up totally blank. lol. I'll try to take pictures tomorrow once I empty the sucker out and post them with comparisons next to money or something easy to relate to.

There is a local store here that sells Vera Bradley but it's not stroller friendly and DS is far too heavy to really go in and browse... so I'm trying to get ideas in other ways.

Thanks! I think he's pretty cute, too. I'm having another boy... :)

mebbradley, I'll have to look again and see if any of those styles are still available in the pattern I'm currently looking to buy (Raspberry Fizz)... I have a wallet and want a purse to match!
I might want more info later, though... ;)

Oh! I'll play! I love VB.

I can't help with the On the Go, but I have Hipster, Villager, Tic Tac Tote, Backsack, and another, maybe Libby? I can answer specific questions on those.

I carried the Hipster around WDW and loved it! Really light and carried everything we need. It is smaller than what I usually like (I love all the crap I can stuff in the Villager!), but great for walking around the parks. It wouldn't fit a folder without bending it, as it is pretty narrow. I've been surprised how much I like my Backsack, too.

I'm curious about the Saddle Up. Is it huge. The VB site gives me fits, as I can't tell *anything* from the pics. I like that the Saddle Up can go across body--at least I think it can. Can someone confirm?

Thanks!

I have the "Saddle Up" bag, which is a great purse! It has two deep pockets on the outside (or actually just under the flap, which fit my sunglasses and iphone perfectly. Or keys and wallet. Or whatever I have to get to quickly!:)

The inside has a zipper pocket and 3 small pockets (for pen, gum, ID wallet, etc.) The strap is adjustable, and I used it as a crossbody purse at Disey when we went out to nice places. During the days in the parks, I used a backpack for everything.

I use the large Tic Tac Tote for plane trips (magazines, snacks, etc.)

That said, I want to know more about the other, too! I'm always looking for my next great travel bag to take to Disney :upsidedow

love vera!
I have several of the Villager, Betsey, Hipster, Backsack, Large Duffel, and my dd has a little Betsey.

Ohhhh... I might have to use that, thanks! I'm currently shopping for my birthday present from my parents. They want to buy me something for me (no baby related items, which seems to be all I am anymore :rotfl:) so I'm Vera shopping! :yay:

I ordered the small duffel (in Raspberry Fizz, I LOVE that pattern! :rotfl:) and am very impressed with the size! I plan to use it as my hospital bag in August, I think it's the perfect size!

I want a saddle up bag! sometimes i need to carry a bag that keeps my hands free, the Hipster is good for that, but I tend to carry a lot and it doesn't hold as much as I would like :)

We don't have the sunglasses, but my dd has regular eye glasses that are Vera Bradley, they are the Capri Blue pattern, and the case matches in capri blue,
they are adorable!

The VB website lists the dimensions of the bags as well as the drop length of the strap. When I look, I get a ruler and measure out the dimensions to give me an idea of the size.

I have become a total Vera Bradley addict in the past month!

I've ordered three times (big orders!) this month - I now have all these bags here - some too small, some too big, some almost perfect but not quite... :headache:

The pleated tote is almost perfect to carry as a purse, but it's kind of tall. I feel kind of silly carrying such a big bag for a purse, although this is only the second day I've carried it. Maybe I just need to adjust, like I did with my Disney Dooney.

Does anyone else carry the pleated tote as a purse? I'm also looking at the Besty bag now. I'm looking for something that is very similar to the pleated tote in size, but a little shorter. It looks like the Betsy bag might fit that description. Can anyone confirm?

Oh, and I also just got the Hipster in the new Night and Day pattern from Ebay for a great price! I'll use that for Disney. :thumbsup2 It definitely won't fit a folder. I can fit three 16-oz or two 20-oz water bottles. the 20-oz ones go almost to the top, but I think I could still zip it.

I also have the Large Duffel and the Get Carried Away bag. They will help me NOT check any bags when I fly to AZ next week! :yay:

By the way, in case anyone was wondering, don't waste your money on the belts, unless you want them for looks only. They don't stay tight at all.

Glad I only paid $4 each and only bought two of them!

I just edited my post to add the expiration date, its 4/11. Happy Shopping!!

Ok, so I am a Vera addict! :lmao: For Disney, I have used the Hispster, and while it is nice since it can be worn crossbody, I have a hard time getting into it. The top zipper opening is small and I cant find stuff easily in the bag. I have also taken the Villager to Disney...LOVE LOVE LOVE this bag. It holds everything I need, please note though that I still use a stroller, so I hang it from the handles adn carry alot of 'MOM' stuff into Disney.;)

I recently bought the a Pleated Tote and a Stephanie...I love both of these bags. Yes they are a little large, but for travel they are great and the organization in them is fabulous. What I normally do is carry an 'all in one wristlet' inside my bags, so if I sneak out without my daughter I can just grab my wristlet and go, even has a place for my cell phone in it!

I am normally a COACH girl, but the Vera are so pretty and LIGHT weight, it amazes me how heavy my Coach bags are after switching from a Vera.

Right now I am carrying a Saddle Up, which is jut about the perfect bag in my opinion. Size is really nice..and I love that I can wear it cross body or use it as a nice shoulder bag by adjusting hte strap length. Also a huge fan of hte mini hipster, another perfect bag for a night out when you want hands free but not to carry the world.

I rambled a bit..
