vera bradley large duffel?

has anyone used it as a carry on?

it is carry on "compliant" but has an airline employee ever said that it LOOKS too big?

have you ever packed for a disney world trip with just it and a personal item sized bag?
if so how many days was it for?

i've been trying to figure out how to take carry on only luggage for my solo trip april 12th-16th and every piece of luggage i have is either so small it will not fit what i need or so large that it MAY have to be gate checked.

my sister just bought a large duffel and it looks very roomy and i think that has to do with it being so much less structured than other carry on luggage.

i think i'm gonna do a "mock packing" with hers and if everything fits purchase one myself.

i just want input from others that have used it.

I used the large Vera duffel as a carry on, no one said a word about the size of it. I packed half of my stuff in it, and the other half in another carry on size rolling suitcase that had to be checked. Everything was a tight fit coming home, because of souvenirs and everything. I would take a bigger suitcase next time, and my Vera bag. The other passengers on the plane are also of concern if you have any breakables in the duffel, because they just shove all of their stuff as hard as they can into your bag. I actually had to tell a lady to please be careful that I had fragile stuff in my bag.

I use it as a carry on all the time. But, I try to stuff everything else (like my purse, water, anything I'm carrying) into the bag before I get on the plane.

I've used a large Vera duffle as a carry on each time I've flown the past few years and I've have no problems at all

Yes- DD and I both have flown with it as our carry on. You can fit a ton of stuff in those things!
