Vera Bradley Hipster info?

I usually carry my camera, extra batteries, a small wallet with my KTTW, license, debit and insurance cards, my son's EpiPen and Benadryl and a pen and autograph book. I carry my cell phone in my pocket but would probably sometimes put that in there as well. Would those items fit in the mini-hipster or would I need the regular hipster? I want to get one for my next trip and also any excursions we do at home (zoo, children's museum, etc.).

We travel light - always have even when the kids were babies and in diapers. They will be 8 and almost 6 when we go back so other than medicine and autograph books, I won't be needing to carry anything extra for them.

It all depends on the size of your camera and autograph book. The mini hipster is no larger than a 5x7 picture frame...give or take a bit. It also has a clear window pocket to slide cards into the front and a small zipper pocket in theflap that would also fit cards so you probably wouldn't need a wallet. In addition, inside it has two small pockets. The only thing you might really have an issue with is the auto book, again, if it's very big.

It all depends on the size of your camera and autograph book.

I have a very small camera and I get the kids the standard autograph book they sell at the parks. I was hoping to not get autograph's this time because it takes up so much time and we have 5 books already from the kids previously trips but we will be travelling with a family going for the first time and they have 4 kids ranging from 2-9.

Be sure to check out www.ebags.com as well ... their prices are great. I have 2 hipsters and recently got the mini hipster in microfiber. I love them all but didn't carry them at Disney which probably was a good thing ... we were there over the summer during Tropical Storm Faye. I really would not have wanted it to get soaked.

I agree with ALL of the above. I've just placed possibly my 6th order with them. I order gifts and then a set for myself.

One thing I just noticed while placing the order for above ( I couldn't beat the 20$ when the others were going for 56$ etc. ) that the shipping is 6$ which is what I used to pay...until my prior order to this which was 9$ shipping. I wonder if the shipping price makes a differance based on which colors you are buying (new vs. retiring etc)

I LOVE my Hipster. It is SO comfortable to wear. We also have a Baggalini but it isn't comfortable to me so DH wears it. The Hipster is soft, and has PLENTY of room. I always carry my wallet, camera, cell phone, gum/mints, eyeglass case, sunglasses, bottle of advil, a few snacks, and I can even get a water bottle in there. I can fit more, but I dont like it stuffed full. There is a small pocket on the front good for room keys, tickets, ID, etc, and then a zipper one on the backside that I put chapstick, snacks in. It is just awesome. I even got the small matching wallet, which helps, instead of carrying my big one.

They wash great too! I haven't washed this one, but I have some of the other Veras I have and they are great! Its cotton so its no problem!

I used a friend's last year. IT worked out great! I carried a wallet, sunglasses in case, small Sony camera, cell phone, meds. Had plenty of room, too! I just ordered my very own hipster from the VB website yesterday. I got that and the wallet with strap. THe shipping was $6 and the hipster was $20, wallet $15. Can't wait to use it on our upsoming trip!!

If price isn't an issue (meaning you don't care if it's on sale), VB JUST came out with a new bag similar to the hipster. It's called the Mailbag.

It looks really cute! It has an adjustable strap just like the hipster and I'm loving the new patterns they came out with...
