Hope this reaches you! I see that you are getting married @ the Polyneisan too! Are you having and intimate ceremony? You'll have to let me know what it is like! I'm anxious! :)

Megan926,

First of all, sorry it took me so long to reply. The semester is winding down, so I have a ton to do, aside from working 40 hours a week.

Yeah, I'm having an intimate wedding at the Polynesian next month, on the 12th at 11am. I see yours is July 14th at the Poly at 11am. Congratulations. I'll be sure to answer all your questions after the wedding. I'm always looking for people that have been married there, but it seems there aren't too many. Who is your em? What kinds of plans do you have for your wedding? Any special arrangements?

Well, I hope to hear from you soon.

Megan926,

em? I'm not really sure what that is! :)

Any special arrangements? Not too many. I asked my coordinator to have a boquet of hibiscus flowers and orchids, as well as orchids for my hair. My dress was ordered right from jcrew.com. We're having a very low key polyneisan themed wedding! Dinner @ O'Hana later that night. How about you? How many guests are you having? We're only have 10, but when we return to NJ we're having a big blowout Hawaiian style! I'm looking forward to it. Good luck with the wedding! Let me know how everything goes, I am sure it will be wonderful!
Thank you mom for the well wishes!

Megan

We just saw a wedding at Sunset Pointe while staying at the Poly on our honeymoon. It was beautiful. I'm sure you will love it. Congratulations!

Congrats Jen! What are your plans? I am sure your wedding will be so nice...the weather is great in FL in December! I wish we could have planned a Nov/Dec wedding...BUT we're both teachers...so it was difficult!

Maybe we should all exchange email addresses and update eachother on plans that way!

Megan

My coordinator is Lynn McKitrick, and she is awesome! She always gets back to me without any delay. So, do any of you have special plans for your wedding? Are any of you adding anything on, like the Cinderella Coach? I thought about doing that, but I just couldn't afford it.I can't believe my big day is less than a month away. I'll be sure to tell you guys all about it when I get back.

My daughter is hoping to be married at Sunset Point, possibly 12/05. Does anyone know what they do in case of rain? Anyone have a picture of alternate site? This is a big concern for her. Thanks for your help. Eve.

I was told that if it rains (it is more likely for me in July then in Dec) they will move me to an alternate location determined by the resort. There are several rooms inside the Polynesian where they move guests in case of the rain. I somewhere (I can't remember) saw a picture of one of the rooms. It looked ok...nothing special. Let's just hope for sunshine!

hi guys!
We're having 11 guests. The night before the wedding we are having an adult only dinner at Bongos and then dancing in all the clubs. I'm adding a father/daughter dance at the cake cutting. After the wedding we're trying to find a character dinner at a resort and then a pontoon cruise to see the fireworks. I really wanted to have tigger but $710 for a 1/2 hour just seemed way too expensive. I think we are going to add the honeymoon photos to our package. That is as far as we have gotten, I'm wait for a bunch of info from Maxine. As far as the rain question they move it to a room inside the resort and the picture was no very pretty.
My e mail is miclyn74@yahoo.com.
I can't wait to hear more!

Hi Sunset Pointe Brides,
We are having 10 people plus the 2 of us and our 10 month old daughter (18 months at time of wedding). So far we have booked the honeymoon room at WL and know that we are having dinner at Artist Point after the ceremony. Our ceremony is at 5pm and I think I want to book the Grand 1 for a fireworks cruise for the two of us after dinner. I wanted to use Breathless but I don't think they can get to the WL. The morning after the wedding we are all going to Chef Mickey's for breakfast and to the Magic Kingdom for the afternoon. Before our families leave, we are going to Jiko for dinner (just the 2 of us). After that we will have our daughter with us and just plan on enjoying Disney with her.

Keep the emails coming. This is great hearing what everyone is planning.

After our ceremony, we're having lunch/dinner at the Concourse Steakhouse. We looked at a few other places, but that was the only one where everyone on my side could find something they liked. For that evening, I have two fireworks cruises booked. I definately have to cancel one, but I may cancel both of them. One is the Breathless for Illuminations. The other is for a pontoon to see Wishes. I'm thinking maybe I want to spend my first evening actually in the Magic Kingdom, just eating ice cream and watching the fireworks. Honestly though, I'm not sure what to do. What do you guys think? I think being in the park might be more romantic for us, because we can just lose ourselves in the crowd. The idea of the captain on the cruise makes me nervous, not sure why. Guess, I'm just weird. Anyway, if I do decide to cancel my cruises, does anyone want them? We could try to set up a time for me to cancel, so another bride could pick one up. It's just an idea. I think I may just save the cruise for another trip. Both cruises are on the evening of May 12th, which is the day of my wedding. We also have the MK Photo shoot the following morning, so I think it may be better for us to have the option of returning to our resort.

Sorry to ramble on...

Everyone has such great plans! I get excited just hearing about everyone's plans! Where are you all from? What state?
I'm from New Jersey...and it is NOT as bad as people say! I love it here!
ANYWAY---our wedding is @ 11am and after the ceremony and cake cutting, my fiancee and I are having alone time in the parks together! I think it will be fun just wandering around as a just married couple! We're meeting our 11 guest for dinner @ 7 @ O'hana (to continue with the Polyneisan theme) and then after we'll just spend alone time watching the fire works....I never knew they had a cruise. Is it pricy?
The next next day will be family day....where our family and friends all hang out with us @ one of the parks. Then another day, it will just be me, my fiancee and his 6 year old son. AFter that...a few alone days in the parks and then my fiancee and I are off on a Caribbean cruise! I am so excited! :)

I love hearing about all your plans! Keep them coming!
Megan
