1. I'm not interested in riding the Velocicoaster. Is the line interesting enough for me to walk through with my family?

2. Can anyone recommend a place to stand to get a photo of my family on the ride? (It's tricky, but I have managed to get photos of them on the hulk and Ripride Rockit)

1. Standby line...Yes

2. Best chance for getting a pic is the area before the cue starts. The train goes right above you. But, it might prove difficult. It moves very fast through there. Also, you may or may not make it out of the cue area and back to that spot by the time their train comes through. You'd have to get your camera out of the locker, as well. Good luck.

1. Standby line, no. It has a video playing way at the end, and the raptors at the end (with the metal muzzle deal) are cool. It's not worth standing in line for those things unless you're a major fan, and really want to check out the muzzled raptors. If it's more about family time, then sure I guess.

2. What DisBuckMan said - behind the Discovery Center is where the queue begins. It's a neat area to hang out and photograph.
