Vegetarians--Your favorite restaurant in the parks??

I know I can probably get better vegetarian food in the resorts (Boma, etc.) but DH and I just never want to leave the parks. So what's your favorite restaurant in any of the parks?

While not a vegetarian, I usually travel with one. She really enjoys Brown Derby, Crystal Palace, and Rose and Crown. But, as I'm sure you are aware by your post, she finds the resort restaurants usually have more for her.

Thanks, Johnathan. Rose and Crown is currently a favorite of both mine and DH's (he's not vegetarian). I haven't been toeither the Crystal Palace or the Brown Derby, so I'll have to check them out. Isn't the Crystal Palace a buffet??

While I am not a vegeterian I have traveled the "world" with one and she said her meal at Le Cellier was excellent. It was some kind of black bean with either soba or udon noodles if I remember correctly. She let me sample it and I thought it was pretty darn good too.

I'm a vegetarian and I second Le Cellier as the best park restaurant we've been to so far (we mostly stick to those in resorts though, so I haven't sampled that many in the parks). And and I also have the black bean cake entree--.

I recommend the land in Epcot. Counter service, good for lunch. They have a lot of veggie wraps and things.

Epcot - We like the vegetarian platter at Morocco, the Land has lots of options.
Studios - ABC Commissary has a few options but nothing that really grabbed us, vege burgers maybe?
MK - Columbia Harbour House - the Coral Reef Sandwich
AK - Tusker House did nice pita type sandwiches

Lots of places will convert a meat meal into vege if you ask - for example Mexico can do bean burritos and so on and much cheaper usually too.

Yep, Crystal Palace is a buffet and has quite a lot of vegetarian options. One problem for vegetarians is that, while Le Cellier, Coral Reef, etc. offer a nice vegetarian entree, you only have one to choose from. CP gives some nice variety.

Yes I think you are right - at least I got the rest correct LOL

For actual "real" restaurants, we haven't tried many as the NZ$ against the US$ is pretty low and sit down restaurants are simply too expensive to included in our budget, but we did try and loved Boma though of course that isn't in the parks.

We had dinner at Liberty Tree Tavern with two vegetarians, and the chef made a special dish for them, which they said was delicious.

I'm veg, and I liked the option at Le Cellier and the CP buffet. As the other poster mentioned, LC only had one veg option (it was winter and the option was portobello mushroom), and it was delicious. The CP buffet had a lot of choices.
