With my Fiance being a guy he of course is no help with this matter and I just can't make up my mind. I need to find a location for our wedding and I can't decide if we should become in debt with a WDW wedding of 70-80 guests the price of a used porsche boxer, or a fairytale Vegas wedding. The vegas wedding is the Queen Elizabeth package which looks great, cheap with money left over for a honeymoon to Ireland. If we pick the WDW wedding there will be no honeymoon.

I would say go with the Vegas wedding. The first years of marriage are hard enough without adding the pressure of being in debt. Save your money and then go to WDW later for a second honeymoon, or maybe renew your vows there for a special anniversary.

By the way, I've seen some Vegas weddings that have been absolutely beautiful. :)

I agree about Vegas. That package looks nice, although doesn't seem to include a meal, only cake. So if you have a bunch of guests, you may have to take them someplace for dinner.

My dream wedding is a Disney wedding. My boyfriend's is probably the court house. Maybe we'll compromise and end up in Vegas (his Disney World). That is if he ever proposes.

Good luck with all of the planning! :cool1:

I agree with Jeafl, there's no reason to put yourself in debt. I've been to Vegas many times and have always had a blast. I don't think you'll regret getting married there :)

I've been leaning towards the Vegas wedding, with those two free tickets we get I've been wanting to see the Cirque Du Soleil show. The indoor rollar coaster looks intresting as well.

The Vegas wedding sounds very nice.

Another thing to consider: I've read that you could add on a small WDW wedding option to a vacation, which would be around $3000.

Don't go into debt for a wedding. Take the energy that would've gone into your debt, to enjoy the marriage instead.

Agree with others ... DO NOT GO IN DEBT for your wedding!!!!

We've been to Vegas many times (sister used to live there) ... in fact the last 2 years, and I think you will have a lot of fun!

Congratulations.

 Thanks everyone for the advise, now we can have some extra money for a honeymoon trip to Europe, the food for everyone (which I've gotten it down to 15-20), and my dress.

For what its worth, my neighbors sister had a Disney World Wedding and did not pay it off until they were married five years (this year).
I had a Vegas wedding and absolutly NO regrets.
Also have been to Ireland and LOVED it. I would do the Vegas Wedding and go to Irleand. You have MANY years to go to Disney.

My wifes best freind just remarried in Vegas. What a gas. We go to vegas every 6 months and I have to say this was the best time. We had aot of freinds that went, and some that were unable to afford to go. 2 Months after they got back they had a reception where they all could attend. They didn't do anything fancy at the home reception and again this was very nice. I looked at the package you are looking at but, take a look at this one. Mandalay Bay

This hotel is so beautiful. A little more expensive but well worth the price.

A nice wedding in Vegas AND a honeymoon in Ireland? That is definitely the one I would choose!

By the way, congratulations!

Also price wise (since some of my family and Andy's family aren't millionares to book $1,800 for 3 days at Disney per family + airfare) this is a good choice.

we did a vegas wedding in 2003 with around 60 people (they all flew in from many different states) so if you have any questions you can pm me and i will help out to my best... lol my screen name on most sites is vegasbride2003

 Ok thank you so much, now I have some questions. Does anyone know where a good place to stay in Ireland is? I did an expedia search for Jan. 2007 to get an idea and only 3 hotels came up with availible rooms!

sorry no help with ireland, but wow that is awsome you get to honeymoon their. Congrats

I've never been to ireland, but we have stayed at an irish hotel chain here in boston before and I loved it. check out jurys and see if that sounds good to you.

Can't help you out with Ireland, but we did go to a wedding at the Paris hotel in Vegas, and it was absolutely beautiful and classy. I also was a flower girl (long story!) a couple of years ago when my aunt and uncle got remarried by "Elvis" there, and it was a fantastic time. That is the thing about Vegas, there is something there to suit everyone and every budget.
