Definitely go with the Vegas wedding.

My nephew got married in the Chapel at the Flamingo and it really was quite lovely. Not cheesy at all. We had a wonderful wedding dinner (there were 25 of us in Vegas for the wedding) at Mon Ami Gabi in the Paris Hotel and everyone had a great time.

Don't go into debt for the wedding.

I can't help you much with Ireland, but I can tell you my brother-in-law and nephew just got back from Ireland, and they had a great time!

My fiance and I were going over the differences of Vegas and WDW (he knew I really wanted a WDW a while back so we wondered what the cost would be without a reception. We wouldn't have one in Vegas either and there are lots of children in our family), we found out that WDW was only an almost $2,000 more difference ($10,100) which I'm going to see if my parents or Andy's parents can chip that in. To let everyone know we are planning a New years wedding, but of course you have to book a year in advance so it will not be this year.

I have heard from a few people you don't get the star treatment in Vegas and if your ceremony lasts a little to long they will cut you off and rush you out to make room for the next couple. Since there are little kids in our family, I also have heard at night the streets can be filled with some rude..drunk people, I wouldn't want to see anything happen to the kids. The paris hotel looks very pretty but this will be the first most biggest step of my life and everyone in my family wants it to be memorable, so Disneyworld it is. We are still going to Ireland horay, and we will all go to the Grand Floridian's 24 hour Deli for some food after . A lot cheaper then $125 per person.

Since you're still planning on going to Ireland, you could try asking for information about hotels, etc. on the UK Community Board.
