I was wondering if anyone has had an experience dining with a vegan at Ohana? My daughter and I are vegetarians, but it seems like we would do fine just by asking for the meat to be left off the platter. DH is vegan though (no meat, no eggs, no milk). I do plan on giving a head's up when I make the ressie, but since it is served "family style" do you have a chance to talk to the waiter before they bring out the platter? I'd hate for them to bring out a bunch of meat that will just go to waste.
TIA for any thoughts/experiences you might have.

For vegan, you need to call 24 hours in advance and they can prepare something else special for him. I am not quite sure what that would be, but there is also fruit and potatoes, but the potatoes might have cheese. For vegetarian, you can just let your server know that you do not want the meat. In December, I had our meat separated because of my sister and it was not a problem at all. At LTT, I told them just to bring me turkey because no one else would eat any meat and that wasn't a problem either.
