VDH Points Chart is Live!

With the $230 per point price....I am definitely glad I decided to go with a VGC resale for not much more. We don't get the extra "perks" since it's not direct, but I think getting the better (to me) hotel is the bigger perk. Glad I didn't wait around to see what VDH prices would be since the available VGC contracts for sale keep dropping.
My soul hurts 😭🤣

You are correct you can not just raise everything.

Now you could raise the point chart 300 days of the year as long as the lowering of the remaining days offsets that. That being said there has to be some reason behind the change that is to benefit balancing demand.

Example you can't lower Christmas day to 1 point and crank up other days because that makes no sense so even though its allowed it then is not allowed because it goes against their requirement to balance the demand with making changes.

I think raising the prices for all of June (which is one of the main times we like to travel) make sense. It's just a bummer for us because in the future, we'll have to plan to use more points for those trips than we will in 2024 (or travel 1 less day to balance it out.)

It's not too late!
It might be... unless you're buying 325 points, I don't see any listing lower than ~$260 pp
Too much for me as an East coast member not planning to go every year. I'll just pay cash when we go and time it for discounts, etc.

I’m definitely glad I decided to go resale at VGC. The only benefit to buying at VDH would be that it would have added enough points to become a direct member. VGC is a more desirable resort (In my opinion), Has a better Location, no resale restrictions, Studios have patios, More amenities, In another year or two the rooms will be more updated then VDH, and it doesn’t have the overcomplicated none sense about paying taxes and parking during a stay.

VDH will have a longer contract, but I’ll be 82 when my contract expires so I might be too old to do that kind of stuff anyway. If I really want to become direct. I would just sale one of my AKV resale contracts and buy in at 210 a point instead of 230.

I just got an email from my guide, estimated $230pp, MF estimated $9.06pp.
Equivalent to probably around $9,5 when factoring the transient tax, to use to stay at VDH. It's on the high side, but it's likely overestimated and other resorts will catch up.

I predict that now we have info on VDH. VGC demand will go back up a bit causing prices to also go back up a bit… make offers and get it low while you can.

So glad we went under contract yesterday! As more things come out, I’m glad I didn’t wait.

Any word on incentives for existing members? If they are attractive enough, I will be in for enough points to stay in a Grand Villa once every 3 years, nothing else at VDH really gets me excited, at least until Forward actually gets approved.

So a 25 point night in a damn studio would cost the user over $60 a night? Get lost...
Agreed that seems way too high, something must be off.. I could see it for a week on an average point basis or something, but not per night!

That is just the taxes, lets just say that you add the $9.06 would be over $11 a point so each night is about $275, still a decent price, but that is not adding the initial purchase price which will vary based off of points purchased
