Do you still have one? Do you still use it?
We still have a VCR, and on occassion my kids will still watch a video, but for the most part, we are all DVD now.
And you?

We have one, but we don't use it very often. We have some old VHS tapes that we break out on occasion, and sometimes we'll check out a tape from the library. Most of what we watch is on DVD, though.

i was listening to talk radio a week or two ago when the issue of vcrs came up. the reality is that someday they will be obsolete and go the way to the 8 track tape deck. its a good reminder for those who have home videos on vhs to get them copied onto a dvd and put them away. i would also consider purchasing a vcr and putting that away for the future, just in case you need to access those original tapes. also consider that over time the tape demagnitizes and copying them just makes sense.

I have a VCR/DVD recorder combo, and then a separate VCR only for Frankensteining my music video tapes.

Yes, we have 2 adn still use them daily. I have so many disney and barney dvd's from my now teenager. my 1 and 2yo watch them now. In a way I wish more things would come out on VHS. My 2yo has ruined so many dvds by scratching them.

We have a VCR for each TV and still use them. I tape a lot of TV shows when I'm not home. We have a DVR too, but you can only watch your recordings on the TV you taped them on, so I like to record on the VCR better.

Did finally get rid of last ones... and just moved into HD DVD with the new X-BOX 360, which is pretty darned cool, must say. Technology marches on!

PS: Remember having one of the first VCR's which was a HUGE Magnavox one... ha ha!

Yes we still have one and use. I much prefer to buy my dd tapes than dvd because they scratch so easily.

We have a Tivo and a DVD/VCR combo. When it comes to watching movies, we use the DVD. When it comes to recording shows off the TV, we use the Tivo, BUT I have a DD who doesn't have cable or satellite, so I will transfer shows from the Tivo to the VCR for her so that she can watch them on her VCR. I would like to switch someday to a DVD recorder, but I don't feel like I know enough about them to make an informed purchase.

We still have a ton of Disney movies on tape that aren't available on DVD yet. We're slowly but surely replacing them all. DH and I also have some videos that we like to watch, but haven't replaced on DVD yet. So, we have VCRs in the family room and our room--our room is actually a VCR/DVD combo so it doesn't take up a lot of space.

We have a bunch of Disney movies on tape, so we use our VCR all of the time. I also tape shows on our VCR.

We've still got to many movies on tape to give up the VCR. We stopped buying tapes, but my daughter still has about 60 movies on VHS and it will probably take an eternity to replace them all with DVD's

I'm getting a DVD recorder/VCR combo for myself for Christmas - I can't wait.

Yep, we're living like dinosaurs - still have a VCR, and still use it to tape shows and to watch some old movies that we don't have on DVD yet. We also don't have a Tivo or DVR, so VCR is the only way we can tape shows when we're not home.

I have one but don't use it all that often.

Yes, we have DVD recorder/VCR combo that is used often.

We've got three. One that's not even hooked up to anything, one on top of DH's TV in NJ, and one built into the little TV in the guestroom. We purposely bought that TV with the VCR player as we've got a large collection of Disney VHS, and figured the neices and nephews could watch in the morning while getting dressed or in the evening as a bedtime story.
