I've got a good list of people that have sent PM's saying they want to do a chair swap. I'll organize and get things rolling late February - in time for Spring Breakers!

OOh sorry my mistake,. We cruised in Oct. and it was fine. A bit rocky the last night but otherwise fine. But the cost is much less during that time...........

Oh mah gawd! That's it now I am sure I know what I am doing with those developer points!How are the bugs in December? I know the temps can go either way by what I have read in this thread but will we need bug spray?

DS (who will be 12) agreed to do a split-stay when we go back for his birthday at the end of July - so I am . Two trips to Vero this summer!! W00t!

I am staying at VB 3/30/08 through 4/5/08. I have never participated in a swap before but sounds like it would be perfect since dh and I are flying. Could you clue me in? Thanks.

I am looking forward to my first VB stay in March/April of 2008 . I wondered if each building, excluding the bc, have an elevator or if I need to request a ground floor? I would really like the view from the top but I have some problems getting around. Unless there is an elevator to get me to my 1br, I will need to be on the ground floor. Thanks for any advice you can give me.

All the buildings other than the BCs have elevators. VB is very good about having luggage carts available in each building also. Most of VB parking is underground (or under building) so you can usually hop into a vehicle that has not been baking in the sun. Have a wonderful trip.

Hello my friend.

Long time since I've had the opportunity to communicate with you. As others have said... thanks for doing the chair swaps. We have not participated before now because we drive and take our own setup, but this coming summer we will be taking our grown DD, DS & DDIL. So... we will be short some chairs and most importantly... boogy boards. So, I will be sending you a PM in February to hopefully secure our reservation. Unless... it turns out that you all will be there at the same time. 6/22 - 6/26.

Actually, I do hope you all might be there at the same time. It would be great for our families to meet. And I've been telling my DS that he will need to go by Ron Jon's on the way down to get his own board. Personal wave riding lessons for your kids would be my pleasure. Of course, you and DH too, if you can take it. Just kidding... I'm sure I am a good 15+ years older than you all.

If I can help in any way with the chair swapping, let me know. I was thinking too... Maybe a new thread would be in order. I tend to avoid threads that have endless posts. Maybe others do too. Just a thought.

I'll put you on the swap list - I'd love to have our visits overlap, but we'll be there at the beginning of June and end of July. The kids would have loved the lessons - but I'm sure we'll meet @ Vero one of these years. Have fun with your whole family. That's awesome. I already wonder how often the kids will both want to travel once they're grown - it seems time passes so quickly.

I think you're right about the thread - come February, I'll start a chair-swap 08 thread.

I'll probably be on the boards for a few weeks since it's Christmas Break!!!!!!!!

Hello Starbox and others.

I have been following this Vero Beach thread for a while. We have chosen Vero Beach as our first trip "home" We own at AKL.

I would love to participate in a chair swap this summer We will be there July 15-19.

I have a question for you Vero Beach Veterans.....

Our son will be 16 and he is taking a friend What activities can they do on their own? Like can they rent the Kayaks? Also are there other teens here or is it mostly families with small children?
