Went to Vero for the first time last week.
Arrived on the day that had two inches of rain! 40 mph winds. We had to pull over several times from the downpours (also, 95 was closed due to wrecks).
When we arrived, we wondered why we had left WDW.
Were awake all night from the storm.
However, the next morning was more promising, with no rain and a lot less wind.
We really enjoyed the actual resort. Very nice.
The waves were still very high. No beach to speak of.
We would love to go back in good weather.

Can't wait to see all these wonderful things and places first hand, we will report back after we get back. Thanks for disdaydreamer for the ocean temps, coming from southern Ontario where it will be snowing, we are going in the ocean (even if it is only up to our ankles
) This trip is going to be a surprise trip for our DD10 and DD7, any creative ideas how to gift it on Christmas morning?

Hi Disdaydreamer, How did you nab us for Polar bear clubbers?? Actually we have not done the swim but I hear it sure wakes you up!!
from our first BC stay at Vero - and WOW, love the BC, dont know if I could ever stay in another room.

Preparing everyone in my department for a new test scoring mechanism was an all-consuming task. It's nice to have time to watch my weekly hour of TV (House!!!)
and check the boards (and even respond) every now and then once more.
