When (not if) I lose weight, do I have to wait until weigh in to get a clippie?

Atkins/lo-carb people--How do you keep track of your carbs? Do you use the package label? Fitday?Atkinscenter?

I have been using Fitday, but I see discrepancies (sp?) vs. Atkinscenter.com. Is that because Fitday doesn't subtract dietary fiber? :confused:

I'm still not sure if I should still keep an eye on fat intake. According to fitday, 69% was fat yesterday. I know, I need the book. I am working on it. The Atkins website has super information & I DO understand that I need to have the fat in order for my body to burn fat.

I use fitday.com and fiber is listed you can just subtract it yourself from the total carbs. I have not been doing that. I do notice that when you add something on fitday, sometimes it will force you to put in a number other than the one on the label :( not sure why, but it happens on the Atkins products alot :(

I try to keep my fat intake between 65 and 70 % and my calories at under 1500...usually I am at 1000 to 1200. I do exercise alot and I am finally toning up.

Thanks glo! Your replied helped me a lot! My #'s fell exactly where your numbers are for yesterday. Now I know I am on the right track!!:jester:

Yesterday, I was at 1088 calories & 20g fat (not subtracting fiber).

I go off the labels (when there is a label) and just subtract the fiber from the carbs.

Otherwise, for foods that don't have a label, I look in a carb-counter book, or on the Atkins site, or Fitday (and I subtract the fiber).
 

I am one of those obsessive people that enjoyes weighing in every day. I weigh first thing each morning and record that weight in my Journal page. As soon as I reach that 'number' to get the next clippie ---- I grab it as quick as I can!

Weighing each and every morning at the same time would frustrate some people --- but I really find that it helps to keep me on track.
 
I have weighed myself about 4x today.:o I have been on the diet for 48 hours officially & I know that this is the time when the fat burning should start. So, right now, I would say that I am way obsessed! :p

I have been drinking lots of water for over a week now while I was lurking here & researching diets. I was watching carbs & trying to eat less, so I had a little jump start.
 
About the clippies - grab your new one any time you have reached the next mark! :) I report my weight in the weekly weigh in thread, but if for some reason after that check in I *HAPPEN* to lose enough to warrant a clippie change, I am all over that sucker!

Personally, I love it when people post a "new clippie" announcement too, so I am secretly hoping that you won't be shy about it when you upgrade to the next one! :) I have so much fun celebrating clippie changes with everyone. It is a great motivator and I know I am wicked excited when I get to change mine, so I imagine that loads of other people are just as happy and excited when they change theirs! :)
