Here is the table with presents for the bridal
Opening presents:
Judi (maid of honor)
Kyle (flowergirl)
The guys didn’t get a gift; we paid money on the tuxes for the groomsmen.
The bridesmaids received the Belle Swarovski bracelet:
Our two hostesses got Mickey photo albums (from the Disney outlet on I-Drive!) They are the denim ones in this picture:
I bought my cousin, Josh, who stood on my side a bunch of University of Michigan stuff since he’s a big fan:
Our flowergirl got a lot of Disney princess stuff- purse, hair things, etc. We also got her a bracelet that had crystals with each of the bridesmaids colors (purple, green, yellow, pink)
For my parents, I had paid for them to the lunch with an Imagineer later that week at the Brown Derby. It is something that my mom has always wanted to do and she was so touched that she cried. They really enjoyed themselves at it and I’m so glad that we picked this as a gift. I also had a frame that had a poem to your parents on your wedding which also got a lot of people crying (I had bought it several years ago long before I was planning a wedding and had put it away because I thought it was so touching):
For Kris’ mom we had bought her a one day ticket to the parks. She had been asking us about costs of admission, etc. in the months leading to the wedding, so we thought she wanted to check out the parks. Apparently not because she didn't want the gift! She’s not into "things", so we thought this would be something that she could use (she had only been to Magic Kingdom like 15 years prior). Now we have a 1 day ticket to save for a future trip. We have different tastes, so I wasn’t too insulted. I just thought you were supposed to smile politely and thank someone even when you hate a gift.
My parents bought me a beautiful butterfly bracelet in white and yellow gold. When I was little my nickname was butterfly and I have tons of butterfly things (one of our new bathrooms has butterflies in the décor.) It was such a nice surprise; I didn’t expect anything from them since they had already bought Kris and I a washer and dryer for our new condo

:
As a surprise I had ordered a groomscake for Kris from the bakery at the Dolphin. They did a fantastic job. The sheet cake was only $80 and it was a chocolate sponge cake with peanut butter filling. Even though we had all had dessert already we still dug into it! Kris’ nickname has been Moose (he got it in high school) so I just sent them the image and then they created the cake:
When we first got there they asked if we wanted to offer alcoholic beverages to our guests. We said that we don’t drink and didn’t even want to bother offering our guests the option to purchase it on their own. We figured it was noon on a Sunday people could wait to get a drink. Most people had gone out the night before anyway and we didn’t want the hassle of separate checks. The funny thing was they kept bringing out these fancy flavored teas in glass bottles for our guests. I was thinking that’s cool that they are including those.
Then when we got the final check there was an extra $85 in beverage charges for them. I asked for a manager and told them that when we were asked about alcohol they should have mentioned these drinks too. We never approved them offering beverages at an additional cost. Since we had someone else draw up our original contract (that manager had since left) they took the $85 off without any real hassle which was a relief.
There’s still more to come that day- ESPN weekend, meeting the minister and the favor drama continues!
