Vampire Diaries Premire

My DD has read the books and is super excited for the show. I plan on watching it with her:thumbsup2

We'll watch the first two episodes (because there is nothing else on!)

I think I must live under a rock.

I love vampires and I have no life... I must look into this.

DD13 and I are ready :). She has the books, but hasn't read them yet. They are in her to be read queue!!

I will watch however...

IT IS THE SEASON PREMIERE OF SUPERNATURAL on right after!!!!!:woohoo:

And they bumped "Smallville" for Vampire Diaries, which is a tad annoying since I started watching it last season.

Its on The CW. I think I'll take a peek at it tonight. Please don't tell me there is no more Smallville..I may cry...

OK, I am excited for this show and will be watching but, I heard the books weren't that good so I didn't read them, but I heard that the show is a lot different than the books. So, hopefully it will be good!:thumbsup2

I really really hope this is good, but there is so much potential for this show to be horrible. There are so few current shows that I actually like and I want to like this one.

No they moved Smallville, to Friday at 8/7c. The season premiere is Sept. 25th.

:cool1: Yep, I saw that while watching Vampire Diaries. I am so glad, I love Clark and Lois.

Vampire Diaries wasn't too bad I'll probably continue watching it. I'm interested in seeing what this Damon (Damian?) guy has planned.

It's always a bit painful to watch the character development in shows like this, so I'm going to give it 5 or 6 shows before I make a judgment. It is more "tweens" than adult focus, but did anyone else think that Stephen looked like "Donny Osmond gone vamp"?
For adults: I have to put a plug in for "Sons of Anarchy":thumbsup2Excellent acting...a storyline that keeps you guessing...and the British actor that plays Jackson "Jax" is a hunk:banana:I just finished season one via DVDs from Family Video ( we don't have cable) and can't wait for #2. Give this a try.

The DDs and I watched it and enjoyed it. It's not a stand out favorite but I can see the potential for it getting really good. :)

I need some mindless entertainment. I am a mom, waitress, and full time english student (lots of serious, intense reading), so I like shows I don't have to think too much about sometimes. I watch Lost (one you have to think about) and The Office. I recently got a DVR and am starting to record Glee (love it so far), Melrose (meh...we'll see), Vamp Diaries, and Community.
So, right now DH is watching NFL while I "patiently" wait for my turn!

This is looking to get interesting.

As for the books there is a huge waiting list at the library already!

Watched about ten minutes. Too much teen angst for me.

Looks like it might not be too bad (especially with the good looking guys in every scene;) )--kindof a teenage mix of the Twilight and Sookie Stackhouse books.
I may have to read the books as DD has them all
