Value resort--which one

Right now, we are booked with 2 rooms for free dining at pop for dec. 15th-dec 21st.
My mom is having second thoughts about going to POP. she's seen the pictures but she's not sure about it. Personally, I don't care where we stay...I'm going to be in disney, that's all that matters.
We've been to music and sports but that was years ago (about 9 years ago) and im guessing they've probably changed since than.
I would love other peoples opinions about the 4 value resorts, which one you would choose and why.

Our group is 5 adults (20,21,24,51 and 60)
My parents and I have been 16 times
My brother has been 13 times
My brothers fiance has never been

ETA: since I just found out that Movies isn't renovated yet (forgot about that..lol) i'm taking that one out of the poll

I like Pop. Don't get me wrong, but personally I would choose ASMu. I love this resort and when I am waiting on a bus for Pop I always see two to three All Star busses. . .at music you are centrally located and can take a bus to either and walk to your room. Pop is HUGE and the waiting line can get long and standing is frequent.

My DH gets a headache just looking at pictures of the Values--he says they don't seem relaxing at all--and when he's on vacation he wants to relax after a long day at the Parks. He really enjoyed his stay at POR--very lush landscaping--great food court--boatride to DTD--very relaxing.

If you book a MOD you get the Basic DP for Free which you can eat at TS restaurants. Value get the QS Free.
There's a plus right there.

Values are our only option. We cannot under any circumstance afford to upgrade to a mod. Upgrading to a a mod would cost us about $1000 more PLUS tips at TS restaurant. No can do. This trip is already costing us $4000.

Personally, we like the values. I just want peoples opinions on which one they LIKE, not why they dont like them

Not even close. My mom's second thought is that she likes the look of the All Star Movies better than Pop. So it has nothing to do with it being a value.

I have only stayed at the Music and the Sports. I think the Music had a more relaxed feel than the Sports did.

I haven't stayed at the Pop yet, because the sheer size of it is kind of a turn off for me. It is 50% larger than any individual All Star Resort. That means that many more people in line with you at the food court and the bus stop.

The All Stars sometimes share a bus, but have their own more often. That means you are more likely to get a seat on an All Star bus.

I'd go with the All Star Music. If you want peace just request a room in the Broadway section. Our stay there we had no noise problems at all!

I just saw your post about the Movies. I would stay away from that resort until it gets redone. The other All Stars have had their rooms refurbed in the not so distant past. The Movies rooms have not been redone.

Awesome. Thanks. I thought I had read that they weren't renovated yet but I wasnt positive. I think that will take Movies out of the equation.

We've stayed at 3 of the four and for what little time we spend in the room, it becomes the extras that interest us. We rent a car so buses are not an issue.

I voted for Music because of the AWESOME pool activties and evening movies!!

I have stayed at both pop and music. I would choose music again in a heartbeat. The customer service we experienced at pop during three different interactions on a four day trip were bad enough to sour our pop perception. Music have stayed at for 18 nights in the last two years and it was always wonderful, and we love the music and games by the pool in the afternoons.

I've stayed at all 4 and my fav is ASMu. That being said we are booked at ASMo because DGS4 loves Toy Story and we could book a preferred room. Preferred at Music was not available. I was tempted to switch to Pop but I hate their buses, too many . Pop has 2880 rooms each All Star has 1920. More rooms more people but the refurb is tempting. But then on the other hand ASMo still has the "All Star" original look. See I am still not sure where we want to stay. I think I'm going to see if ASMu has preferred open again. LOL Another reason we don't care for Pop, the food court. Some love it but I like a good salad, Music and Movies have a fresh made salad with grilled chicken, steak, or Salmon. I love it.

Pop is my favorite, that said Music is a close second. Music used to be my number one favorite, but then they added those pool games which while very fun and a very good addition to the resort, have made the main pool a bit of madhouse in the afternoons and evenings. I sort of miss the way it used to be at Music which was that it was the quietest of the values!

I think Pop has the best food court and I also think the lake makes it a bit above the All Stars. Its also more centrally located.

The newly refurbbed rooms just ice the cake!

You can't make a bad choice, I have stayed in all the values and think they are all wonderful. I just wish they'd refurb Movies, the rooms aren't dirty or shabby, but they are worn out and the old style furniture makes them seem dark and a bit dreary compared to the new rooms at the other two All Stars.

We've stayed at Pop and absolutely loved it! My hubby is one picky man and he loved it so much that after we stayed there the first time, (we already had another trip booked for another trip about 6 wks away) He insisted I cancel the reservation for POFQ and get us back into POP again! Buses play a huge part for us, and those buses ran as smooth as silk the whole time we have ever been there. There is no sharing with other resorts, and they take you straight to where u want to go. We always had a seat and weren't crammed in there(unlike when we stayed at ASMovies!) The food court was excellent-we always do QS-food was fresh, and even when it was full of people, you never had to wait in line long to pay. We Love Pop! Our next trip we r staying at ASSports ONLY because Pop is not available!

I don't think that is what the op was looking for.

We like pop but I if I were going to choose another it would be ASMU. In fact I was thinking of switching to ASMU but my girls love pop. So we are going back. But I think ASMU would be more laid back than pop. I haven't stayed at ASMU but it looks nice.

We've stayed at three of the four and we really like ASMu. The family suites are a real plus for us, as there will be five of us this upcoming trip. The foodcourt is about equal among the values, but I believe POP does have a real bar if you want to have a drink inside vs poolside like at the All Stars.
I agree with others about the bus service. All Stars is just better service vs POP.

Our fav is Sports!! My DH and DS love baseball so it was a no brainer! havent tried any of the other ones. Also it's the first drop off and pick up for the buses which is a huge plus! Havent been in a couple years but planning a spring/summer trip nxt year and we will definitely be staying at All Star Sports.
