I'm sorry if this has been discussed previous (and I'm sure it has) I just didn't know how to find it.

We have reservations at BCV for Sun-Thurs nights but our flight is coming in Sat afternoon and leaving Sat morning. So we are trying to figure out how to stay at a value for those 2 nights and get our luggage over to the BCV. Is there a way for us to do this? Will Disney do it for us?

not a problem.

if you are arriving after May 5- remember the ME you would need to do this those CRO - since it would the be value resort.

I love Pop Century!!!

just call on Sunday for bell services - they will come and get it - I like to write the information down and tape it to the luggage - your name, BCV, your reservation number.

they do it alot!

Just call the front desk or bell services and they will move your luggage for you. Just make sure that you keep a few things with you, because your luggage may not get delivered until around 3:00 Sunday afternoon. So if you think you want to swim or something be sure and keep those clothes with you. I'll second spiceycat, we like Pop Century too.

Yeah we loved Pop when we stayed there last January, so that is where I will be booking. I was just worried about how to get the luggage there. Thanks for the great info

Disney will transfer the bags and even put them in your room for you when it is ready. It is really easy to do and then when you get back your stuff is waiting for you in the room.

Charles, our experience at BCV was not that way. We had to be in the room for them to deliver our bags. I assumed it had something to do with receiving a tip for their services. We were told we had to be in the room for them to be delivered. However, when we left pop, we just left the bags in the room as we were told to do. We didn't have to be there for them to pick the bags up.

bell services - value resort - don't expect a tip (but will take one)

bell hop - moderates, deluxes resort do expect a tip. So you generally have to be there for luggage delivery.

also I think the DVC resorts doesn't always pick up at the other resorts until the afternoon.

Interesting when we went last year we moved from VWL and left the bags in the room they took them and put tem into the room at OKW and they were there when we got to the room without a problem. Same thing when we went to CSR from OKW.

Actually, I figured the reason you had to call for your luggage on arrival is that there are frequent last minute changes in room numbers. You decide you don't like the room you were assigned so you ask to be moved from room A to room B. Bell services may still think you are in room A and deliver your luggage there - a room you are not in and which will likely be assigned to someone else. I wouldn't like my luggage delivered to someone else's room by mistake. So by waiting until you call, they know they are delivering to the correct room.

I hope I understand what you are saying, Disney will pick them up and take them to BCV from Pop but I will haev to be in the room when they are delivered? So will they just hold them at guest services or something? Having the bags in the room waiting for us, will not be as big a deal to me as long as they get transported without me lugging them on a bus.

WDW will transport them - but they like you to be in the room.

so you need to call when you get your room.

Depending what time your flights arrive/leave you might want to consider staying at the airport (especially if it is an early morning flight out on Saturday).

Disney picks them up from you at POP and delivers them to BCV. You can go to the parks for the day. After you check in and are in your room, call bell services. They will then deliver you bags. We used them 4 times on our last trip this April. Worked great. We tipped $1 per bag. They seem to appreciate it. Very friendly, very helpful.

I have had it happen both ways. Sometimes I have gotten to my room and the bags have been there, sometimes I have gotten to the room and had to call for them. Eihter way, my experience has been that the bags have been brought to the room within 15 minutes after I called, so it's not like it's a long wait. Usually, I call when I get to the room, take off my shoes, look aorund the room, go to the bathroom, and the bags are there.

I'd be amazed to think that the bell people at the Values don't expect a tip. Anyone who handles luggage certainly assumes that most of the time they get, and deserve, a tip. Have you ever watched the way some folks pack?????

believe me I was shocked when I heard this too.

Tyler (chip n' dale express) was a bell person at Pop Century before he became a bus driver.

He say that in one of this posts to me.

I really enjoyed Pop Century - it is a fun place - full of memories.

now these guys won't refuse a tip. I tip the man who helped with my luggage.

but Tyler say it as not necessary.

the person did seem to be surprise to get a tip - after he closed the trunk.
