Valuables while waiting for room

I am arriving around noon and since the BCV seem to be almost full I do not expect to get a room right a way. I would like to go hang out at Storm-a-long Bay, but I will have lots of travelers checks, cash, and lap top. What can I do with these since I do not want to take them to the pool? Thanks for any info.

I've checked my laptop numerous times, never a problem. For the cash/checks why not see if the front desk has a safe deposit box that you could use until the room is ready. Don't know if they still have those since the rooms have built in safes or not, but it might be worth calling the resort and asking.

As far as I'm aware they do have safe deposit boxes at the front desk and free of charge. That was going to be my suggestion as well.

I've never really given this a lot of thought but since DS may take his laptop this trip and we will be spending the day (until the room is ready) at SAB I didn't think about our valuables. Thanks for posting your question. Annmarie

For smarter or dumber, I've been in that situation dozens of times. I've simply checked my bags (including cash and cash equivalants), 'knock on wood', but I've never ever had any problems whatsoever.

Think about it, how many bags are checked? How often do the bell staff have idle time to paw thur bags looking for something to steal?

I guess if it bothers someone enough, you could simply carry the bag with the laptop & cash to the pool with you, and assign family members to be guards.
