Valley Forge Military Academy summer camp?

Anyone know anything about it or have you known someone who has sent their son to this? Any info would be greatly appreciated!

DH had one cousin who went there for HS and one who started and decided to come home after a week. The latter was an artist and the structure was too much for his free-thinking persona.

You'll get a much more disciplined child back at the end. One who will cherish what you do for him... until it wears off and things go back to normal.

VFMA is the place where DS's uncle keeps telling him he's going to send him if he doesn't keep his grades up. Whatever works to keep him in A's and B+'s is fine by me.

My Dad and Step mom sent my step brother there when he was about 11 or so. He was a difficult child, ADHD, always getting into small trouble. He did not like going there! Yet, to this day he is now "military Dad", dictator. So I guess he learned a lot!

Hmmm, I'd be interested in the summer camp program too. My son is just irresponsible, always making the rest of us late and making us keep on every little thing to get it done...etc.

Evaluated by a psychologist and was told that if he was ADHD then he had such a small problem with it that it did not show up on any of the evaluations/test or one on one.

I think he's just being a lazy boy....sadly He's so smart and talented though, if he just had some personal will to add structure to his life
