Okay, we will be staying at POLY and CR. We will have a car.
My question is can I just keep it parked in valet the whole stay? I realize you have to pay for valet parking, so if I just want to keep valet parking all week, what is the cost per day?

It's $14 for valet parking.

Not sure why you would want to do that since as a resort guest you'd get free parking all day? :confused3

We prefer to only use Valet parking. You can leave your car all day if you want in Valet, assuming you're a resort guest (although, even if you're not a resort guest, the general consensus is that you can do this as well).

There is self parking at all Disney resorts that is free for the guests of the resort without time limitation. Non specific resort guests are limited to 3 hours parking for free and is not intended to be used for park access.

You should only be required to pay Valet once per day, regardless of where you use it (ie. you're resort is Poly and you go to AKL, your valet follows you), outside of tip.

Just FYI, at all of the WDW resorts that I know of, valet parking is not really secured parking. While no one can drive into the valet lot areas except the valets, they are still completely accessible to people who are on foot. (I've rolled my baggage through the valet section at WL many times.)

If you want it for the added convenience and a pre-cooled car, by all means splurge, but if you wanted it for extra security, there really is no advantage. There is one main entry gate at each resort for visitors and guests, and license numbers are recorded, but that's the extent of it, except for a keyed crossing bar at the valet section entrance. The valet sections are delineated primarily by bollards.

We valet park every trip. We usually only take the car out to drive from the BW to Animal Kingdom. I don't mind paying the daily valet charge since I am on vacation and don't feel like hiking to the parking lot to get into a hot car. My theory (right or wrong) is if I have paid to stay at a deluxe resort, valet parking is a perk that I will take advantage of since we go in Aug. and I love having the car already cooled off before we get in.

I know parking is free, but I am older now, and can afford the little "extras" that make your day a little bit nicer! LOL. You know, its kinda like having your meal prepared for a fee, or cooking it yourself. I will be on vacation, and I want all the little things that make me say "AAaaaahh"

Yes, you have it right. I am not looking for security, I want convenience.
